PCM2008 versus PCM2007 -- is new version stable?
MarcoPRT
Good point, since the 70000€ he earns are already included in your salary budget, so if you offer him the same, you'll get the same remaining budget. Definitely a bug.Frown

No reason for a question on this. It's soooo clear.

Ok, so I need help understanding. I know I am slow... after all my students call me "professor" and all...

The fact that this question does need to be asked is unfortunate, but fair, and a real response would be appreciated. PCM2007 was not stable initially, though it did get better as it was patched (and is still the most enjoyable game I have ever played.) If 2008 is in the same initial state, then it makes more sense to wait to invest when it is ready for prime time, rather than having to resist temptation to punch computer when the games crashes due to the bugs.

i was able to offer Bettini 50k euro (equivalent to his current salary) while my remaining salary budget was just some 13k euro. So, if it's a bug, it's not consistant.

As I understad it, the bug only happen if you sign any rider in the beginning of the season. So if you sign a 1000 euro youngster in january you are screwed, cause you can't renew your stars.

Remembering last year I can understand your request for more info!! I have had PCM2008 since last weekend and it has not crashed on me yet...not even once. So, truly there is no comparison between the initial version of 2008 compared with 2007.

That's not to say it is bug-free of course but in my experience so far it is not crashing.

I'd say pretty much but ... u decide..

Took the plunge, bought the download. Hasn't crashed yet, in stark contrast to 2007.

Great game... worth the investment. Just wish some of the calendar management, and finding sponsor stuff was a bit more streamlined...
