Irrelevant TTT result considering Arndt got dropped anyway. Looked pretty decent though, and one minute on most climbers is about as expected.
I hope we'll try to get into the break tomorrow, Declerq had some good attempts in the Giro already.

Sorry about that, admit should have put more pic in this one.
My focus was on the timing, but that is no excuse.

No biggie. It's just always nice for reports, so thought i would say it for another time.
Sometimes the TTT-reporters have just thrown the "excess" pictures in a spoiler at the end which is perfectly fine as well.

Still surprised that 69 TT is too bad for staying with the others. Can't remember it was like this last season.
We even had 65 TT(Blikra), 66 TT (Robov) and 69 TT(Rojas Gil), all of them managed to stay with our best guys until the end and we beat your team by 2 sec

58 TT Kaspars Sergis stayed with my best guys

Legend!
Funny note: as Tamijo pointed out, Jerez is known for its Sherry production, however the town is not only famous but also responsible for the name of the beverage. In fact Sherry is an anglicization of the word Jerez! Glad to have learned something with MG today
Also just noticed the game has caught up with the site banner! Way to go guys!

Nice. Groenewegen now really entered the top class level sprinters I guess with wins in Vuelta and Giro. Comparison here isn't that strong but still a great team effort.
Dumoulin really did beasting in the final making it a very easy sprint for Groenewegen. |

Anyway Keizer gaining back in the ITT and Olivier is supposed to attack.
Not even 72 TT is enough to stay with the others in my experience

The fact Stallaert was stated as a 3-star favorite got my hopes up.
That changed drastically in the end
Well Groenewegen have delivered so far in GTs this season compared to other sprinters. |

Really wish I had gotten a decent sprinter aswell, but nice too see Aberasturi at the front still.
Congratz for the great starts Roturn and especially Gustav. The great season continues for Groenewegen.

Kozontchuk with a nice ride there, sparks hopes for an odd botd win someday. Nice to have the mountain jersey for a day.
Gratz roturn and Gustavo to your latest wins.
The sprinting field is so bad Schleck is in the Top 10, jeez. Like every manager I just regret it that I havn't brought a sprinter here, this hurts.

A promising start.
5th in the TTT is good, although it's a shame to lose time to both Pluchkin and Madrazo - and Machado in the race lead could be an interesting one.
My entry into interesting TT performances this race is 71 TT Kirsch keeping up, but 74 TT Konig being dropped. Schleck safely in there is the main thing - but it might have been a faster time if Kittel had been the one to lead us home.
At least with Kirsch and Heymes making it, they look like they have picked up a couple of U25 points - they all count! Tamijo, can you add the U25 standings into the Stage 1 report please?
And I'm not too concerned about Schleck being so prominent on Stage 2, as I regularly saw Alarcon doing the same in the Giro. And then quite amusing to see him take 9th place at the end - doing just as well as Van der Lijke could manage at the Giro! The bumpy nature of many of the flat stages would have made this a nice race for Van der Lijke actually, but I was always committed to sending Schleck here - so it was never an option to have a sprinter too.

Cool to see Liepins trying to compete and actually finish in the point scoring places

We should attack on every flat stage. Oh well. Tomorrow might be a first chance for Arndt to punch above his weight.

Yay, we got to see the Finnish champions jersey. That pretty much bags the Vuelta as a success. At least the first week is saved (but please bring more breakaway action).
Also great to see loan-out Liepins sprinting to 8th place for Evonik. Awesome stage for us!

Every day without a breakaway appearance is a lost day.
