My understanding is it does if you attack, it controls how quickly you get to (accelerate) to the higher effort rate. This is why punchy climbers tend to have good ACC but diesel climbers do not. It would not have any impact when riding tempo.

Exactly my thoughts aswell. A ridertype like Purito should've had high acc and a ridertype like Evans low. But it seems like PCM only count ACC in sprints or what?

Example when i attack in the mountains with a rider like Chavez (high acc) most of them diesel engines should not be able to follow the attack Immediately. Still almost 30 riders are able to follow me Shock

On shorter ascents (like 10 km) it ends in a 20-30 group sprint to the finishline except if i'm monitoring guys like Froome - then I can (sometimes) destroy the peloton.

Looked at videos on youtube. It seems like a normal thing. Maybe they're afraid of the big time gaps?
