We start round 2 right now, we move fast!
Well, last morning the assassinate was done again. It was lakebeach. He was found and had oil, in his lungs. It seems, he had a fight to sop the assassin, and i’m sorry he died. no i’m not, i am the assassin. there was a note saying “he stole another guys avatar”
Oooooh, poor lakebeach, he's the second guy who has been killed by this assassin... Time to vote! (trek, lakebeach and Ian can't vote, so only jandal, jseadog and Luxemburger can. Ties can happen!)

That was good, the assassin picked off my first guess.That was bad, my first guess was wrong. jdog had "evidence" but for now, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say trekbmc's jailing was an honest mistake. I'll listen to what you two think.

Well the stolen avatar thing could be a hint to me and Jandal. Because of reverse psychology it then just can be Jseadog. (Assuming that the murder isn't one of us). But maybe its reverse-reverse psychology, and because I'm not the murder, it can be Jandal too. Not sure about this one then, so I will sleep one night about that decision and you will hear my decision tomorrow. |

I'm inclined to stick with jseadog looking at the last message. Not final as it could be faked but I think the assassin is Luxemburger

I am still having fun in jail, unfortunately I still believe that the killer is jandal (sorry  ) using some massive reverse psychology But I can't rule out either of the other two...

After this second round, I have to say that the assassin hasn't been caught... and now it's when I have to say that indeed the assassin has won!
In the next turn, Luxemburger would go to jail, and the assassin would be there with another 2 guys (trek would be back), but he'd kill one of them and there'd be a tie in the voting (except the assassin votes himself).
Next round, and Luxemburger is back. The assassin would be there with 2 guys again... One of them is killed and then a tie so nobody joes to jail...
Next round and the assassin kills the other guy...
So yes, innocent people, you have done it wrong, as the assassin has won! And the assassin was...
I hope you liked the game although it was very short. I would like to ask if you'd be interested in a Season 2 (the more people, the better, so it's longer and also it's more difficult to find the assassin in the very first rounds.
Note: In next seasons, there'd be no jail, because I don't think it's good that an innocent goes there...

This game is quite a bit better with personal contact. However, if there were more people involved in season 2, you could spice it up with some special roles. The ones I can remember off the top of my head that I played with are:
- A detective: During the night, he can ask the fate (the person running the game) about one of the players and fate will tell the policeman whether or not that player is an assassin.
- A suicide attacker: He can decide at any point in the game to blow himself up. As a result, the suicide attacker together with one other player of his choice dies. I don't remember if he was a member of the public (i.e. the innocent) or the assassins, could work either way.
- A vigilante: A member of the public, who can kill someone every night. Note it's not that useful if the vigilante uses his option to kill all the time, since there is generally much more of innocent than assassins.
- A prostitute: Can make anyone's night actions to be inactive.
- A silencer: can choose one player every night, who is not allowed to post the next day. Cannot choose the same person on two successive days.
- The bulletproof: Survives the attack of assassins the first time they try to kill him.
Also, in every version I have played, people vote not to put a player in jail, but to lynch them, resulting in this person being killed. The public then wins once all assassins are killed through lynching. In this case people have to be a bit careful, who they choose and often abstain from voting.
Also, if there are many participants, there should be more assassins. This also makes the game longer, because each assassin picks a person to be killed independently (and they might or might not know about each other, this can be decided). Only if majority of (the eligible ones) agree, that person is killed.
Anyway, I would be interested to join for round 2 I guess.

Sounds like you played Mafia Togo Jandal organised one on the site a couple of months ago, think he may have been planning another at some point to.
Congrats Jandal though, you didn't have me fooled and I out my votes against you but unfortunately nobody had time or want to believe me  So congrats on the win.
Will play this if it happens again, hopefully with more players

Yes, I prefer this format. It's way easier. Nice and simple.
But I'd like to keep the jail. "Innocent people don't go to jail" is just so not true irl so many innocents go to jail as well  I like that there is a punishment for getting voted for if you're not guilty. |
