With the first results in and trekbmc holding an early lead, let's move on to the next challenge.
This time, the drunken fool has really gone and done it. The first thing he sees upon waking up is a military tank. Where on Earth has he ended up this time?!

Deadline is 18:00 GMT on Saturday. That should give plenty of time to those Big Brother contestants that want a rest from the constant barrage of GeoGuessr. That was just unfortunate timing that I knew nothing about unfortunately.

That was pretty easy.
EDIT: Now I need to learn how to place a marker.

Is it Brewer we can spot in the picture? To be fair, he seems to be having a heck of a hangover.

Great. This one is this season's Hamburg...
The rest will all be harder, I can guarantee.

Don't worry, some rounds have to be easier than the others.
Round 1 in both seasons were almost perfect imo. Both pictures included a few clues, but far from everyone got it spot on.

You know, regardless of how easy this one is, the game would be a lot better if the current leader would actually send something. Luckily for you, I'm tired and can't be bothered to do the results now, so I'll give you until tomorrow afternoon my time.

Round two was supposed to be a very gettable but not easy round. Sadly, it was just too easy. The main clue was obviously the M4 Sherman just casually chilling in a town square. As you do. Half a Belgian flag was clearly visible on the left edge of the picture and there was French text on the information board on the right. So, that should have narrowed it down for everyone. Did you all get the same answer?

Mostly, yes. Oddly, only the first and last two submissions were not Bastogne. 14 people were in Belgium, with Luxemburger, which is ironic given the location, the only one not noticing the flag. So, let's confirm what 12 people already knew and put the others out of their misery.

We were just a few miles from Luxembourg in the centre of Bastogne, Belgium. The tank in the picture was pierced by German artillery in the infamous Battle of the Bulge and remains as a monument. Those people with good knowledge of the Second World War could certainly have got this one without even needing Google. Strangely, previous leader trekbmc and jihardy were both in Visé, on the Dutch border. Only 80 odd kilometres away but very costly in terms of points. Luxemburger was on the Normandy coast - definitely an area famous for World War II combat but not the right battle.
And here's what that means to the table, with Waghlon entering the game with a nice 200 points and Bjartne taking the lead courtesy of the one kilometre he beat Marcovdw by in round one. You can't say this game's not close!

Congratulations to those who got it correct and for those that didn't, there's still plenty of time to recover it. Why not start by getting the next round bang on? Round 3 will be posted later.

From 1st to 13th...
I did look at Bastonge, but there was logic behind Vise (Haccort) as the advertisement for Wolfs Se on the sign and they are located there (I even typed the phone number into google to get it. )
EDIT: On the bright side, it puts me 'ahead' of Abhishek, and with the lowest Kms.

U know I found the country using the same phone number!! The Wolf's is in Haccort .
I'm from a long way away from Europe so that tank is not a well known monument to me. Took some more tracking down and a cycling blog funnily enough to find out where this was.
The fight is on trekbmc .

I also used the phone number on the right to find the country. I was in Japan for the longest time

Great!
- I went with Bastogne thanks to three reasons:
1: The Belgium/Luxembourg flags narrowed it down.
2: The massive tank indicated an important battleground likely around the Ardennes where there were plenty of tanks.
3: This is a PCM based website so why not Bastogne!
After that one watch Brewers ramp up the difficulty! |

The party never stops for Brewer and neither does the regret. Where the hell is he now?
You have until Wednesday afternoon to send in your answers but as I keep saying, the sooner, the better. I don't see the point in deliberately waiting until the deadline and then forgetting about it. This isn't school homework guys.

It's one of those, where you can easily get within 2000 kilometers of the answer, and then spend a week getting any closer.
