Cool to see those videos! Very impressive sprint from Bewley. Big congratulations, Roman!
Great to see Boasson Hagen in third, that's a great result for us, and Kristoff in 12th makes it a brilliant one. For some reason, it feels like Boasson Hagen always manages to position himself close to perfect for the sprint in San Remo every year.
Really enjoyed the report, roturn, eventhough AI didn't give you much to work with. Well done!
That is really, really dissapointing by Van Stayen. Even though the race didn't become as hard as maybe we were hoping, he is still a top 3 sprinter in this field, so he should at least have tried to do something... Oh well, let's hope we can bounce back with a win in Chrono des Herbiers.
Well done to Ignatiev! Always knew he'd find a version of PCM to become super useful in the PT - go Metinvest!
I suspect, looking at similar riders, that picking Ponzi over Guarnieri for this was a wise idea, but it's annoying knowing if I was playing this myself it'd be easy to win, but letting the AI play it, I'll never have a squad to win here. It's frustrating year on year.
Thanks for the great report! Nice touch with the videos.
Will be interesting to see how the rankings are now, I feel that there should already be some teams that distance themself both at the top and at the bottom. We also had our first monument now where someone (Ignatiev...) really gave their team a lot of points
Yeah, i am also looking forward to the first rankings. Ignatiev and his MSR is the only reason that can maybe save us from last spot for now, given the horrible start of the year. But again it is 205 points if i am looking on the right table, that is not so much when we had 70-100th place as usual best placement before MSR, apart from some stage top10s, but that is woth like 5 points...
To be honest i was not following the points scales in PT before this season, so i am quite surprised how much depth is importnat here. That is exactly what we lack.
Bewley finally delivers this season - as he had to do after a relatively quiet race.
Completely anonymous for Vesuvio. It's similar to what rjc says: my team is capable of better here, but the way AI works it isn't going to happen. Van der Lijke seemingly content to do nothing, at least Gastauer scraped a Top 50. Pretty much how I expected the race to go for me though, so not surprised!

Wow, just a perfect race for me, thanks for all these congrats! Really enjoyable report indeed as well, thanks roturn!
Quiet race was something what was needed for my team and it looks like my team did a great job to help Bewley before his superb long sprint. Even through I thought it was only a sprint for a 2nd place, that risk to go for such a long sprint paid off. Also it looks like it paid off finally for me to have a strong lead-out team and Howard, Vesely and Sagan even have decent 18th-19th-20th place in addition to their help.
Really looking forward to see the first rankings of the season now. We should do quite well, hopefully.
Beautiful reports, first time I've experienced video clips in MG (although think there was talk of this having been used here and there previously?), was pretty cool! Great to see the 'feature' races of the calendar get this special attention. Shame there was not a wee bit more race action on the day to truly deserve the great coverage.
Bewley brings in our first successful bet for ages now - was monster in the sprint, even more so when you see it in the video! So congrats to Roman, and the lead out also bringing in steady points for you at this monument. Top 10 well spread between the teams, and MSR's usual mix of sprinters and beastly puncheurs. With such a stacked start-list, some are always going to have to miss out, but must be hard all the same for those that go away with little to show.
