GC wise a very good stage by Boasson Hagen. It feels like he should beat Van Garderen with more than four seconds in the final TT and thus be likely to end second. At least the gap down to the good TTers looks safe.
But Trofimov this season is just amazing. Congratulations, OlegTinkov! We'll need to do some training to get the upper hand on the Russian, I guess.
Thanks for a nice report, tsmoha. I found the final 17 kilometers very exciting, and not just because Boasson Hagen was in contention |

My frustration is getting deeper and deeper with every single race day. However, this race couldn´t be considered as one my team will shine.
Hopefully Ponzi will suck in TT and Good Energy don´t gain much more points
Thanks tsmoha for amazing work again!

Trofimov once again proving he's possibly the best management game rider.
Would have liked to have seen Rein finish with Dekker...

And I'm hoping he performs amazingly and somehow holds onto a top 10 GC, and Malori gets into the top 15 as he's not too far off that possibility.
I'm dragging you closer for sure beagle!

Costa can be so frustrating...
Congrats to Oleg, Trofimov is on the verge of another great victory. I wish Tinkoff cared to share the spoils with the rest of the promoted teams once in a while
Phinney loses time but Van Garderen is 2nd while Schleck goes 5th... got to say it's not looking great for Vesuvio!

Great win for Trofimov, and a fantastic way to cap off a superb season. Thanks for the report.

Mixed bag with that stage. Was certainly hoping phinney would be closer, but Vam Garderen was absolutely massive. To add to it, Meyer taking the KOM was a big boost. Will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.
Trofimov is well and truly a monster

Hmm, I guess I need to get a better hilly rider somehow for the next year. And when seeing how bad hilly riders came in the peloton, I really should brought here Sergent as well. I will lose a lot of points on Good Energy here.
Congrats to Oleg, Trofimov is just special.

Good bye Pro Tour it is then.
The ITT by LLS was okay but 11th is far too less unfortunately.
Schädlich with an awful TT as top5 time trialist here I think. His 38th in GC is okay for him, but after yesterdays stage I had hoped to be closer to 20th with him.
Other than that Roux not getting GC points here.
Not sure how many points to Volkswagen, but I guess still more than 100 or even 200. This will not be reached in Lombardia. As I have a top3 goal there, LLS might be extra motivated though.
Thanks for the reports, tsmoha and congrats to Oleg. |

Unless both Schlecks pull off a huge 1-2 in Lombardia, i guess Wikipedia grabbed the PT-title here. Strong overall result with also Bookwalter doing so well, our loanee Durbridge okay and Meyer taking the KoM.
At least Hagen moves one up Pretty interesting final stage: hard to make a proper report, as i couldn't rule out those close decisions like Schumacher missing the podium by just a second.
If you want to get rid off Gesink, alex... Just let me know then

Really nice race, love the route. Wikipedia i think have just put themselves over the line for the title, sorry Vesuvio.... but! Still one race and Vesuvio can technically still win the title, don't give up hope yet SN!
Another great result for Trofimov and Oleg, it's been great to watch them all season

It surprised me that Schadlich ended so far in the TT. Probably a combination of having less energy left then others, and maybe that last hill being a bit to hard.
Roux & Schadlich have had a pretty rough season, it seems. Combined they scored around 200 points more for me last season, which would have been very crucial points for you this season. I had hoped my ex-riders would have been able to help you better!
Great reports tsmoha, and congrats to Oleg & Trofimov!

Well the usual uber thanks needs to be with tsmoha - a very enjoyable read that report with all the key battles broken down.
A shame so much time was lost to the hill guys on the day before because Coppel was really strong there and hope for him in the Worlds.
Still for Coppel it has been a fairly lean year in terms of wins - I think this was his third win all season and really very little extra points elsewhere. Not sure the investment in him was really worthwhile and possible a bit of a tactical error in investing so heavily in him. A win is good for him and his chances of a decent contract whether that will be with us we shall see.
Unfortunate that it would seem that the top and relegation battles are decided here - Wikipedia top of the pile!

Great reports tsmoha, and congrats to Oleg & Trofimov!
Seeing that I might relegate with less than 200 points differential, this is quite hard to hear...Schädlich had a decent Qatar and this race still was decent. But other than that, I had hoped he would join more breaks and get some TT results. And with only one hill stage ahead, not having enough energy for a TT is really annoying. Definitely not the best season for the pure TT riders.
Roux started slowly and got better and better in the end. Still he should have done a bit better imo. Unfortunately as well not the best year for double leadership as he was often with Sanchez. |

Well, on the one hand I'm glad you won the bidding war because it allowed me to get a stronger all round team, but on the other my goals look like 2/5 at best. And Coppel is too old now for me to consider a big offer for him again
Thanks for the reports tsmoha, as ever a great job
As for Rothaus, feel for them a bit. They did their best but it just didn't seem to work out - I expect they'll bounce back straight away next season though. |

Bad race, great reports
I had wished for my puncheurs to get some better results on stage 2, when they didn't this was a given. Rothaus however have not been able to get enough points so I doubt they can get past us considering the last race is hilly.
Trofimov... Maybe we should ban him for doping?

Solid stuff from Boasson Hagen, and I'll happily take that. But it would be kind of annoying to end this season without a race win from him as the stage win in California is his only. Lombardia is suddenly the only chance left, we'll blame the curse of the rainbow jersey
Thanks for great reporting once again, tsmoha! Big race for Wikipedia considering the title, it must be pretty closed to sealed now.
Happy thinking about the rankings and our sponsor goal as well. It feels like this performance combined with a normal race from Boasson Hagen in Lombardia should secure a top 10.

Congrats to Oleg. I'm really pleased with Schumacher here. That 1 second would have been nice to make the podium, but 4th overall is really great in this field. Definitely should help us out in the rankings as well. Great race tsmoha!

And there go my top 10 hopes.
At least Posthuma had a decent result in the GC in the end.
Thanks, tsmoha!

Just realized we actually only got one race left of the PT-season
I hope everyone has had a nice season. Been real interesting "up here"
