Very poor showing from my team today make this race more and more disappointing for me. Only strong results in flat stages (if we´ll even see bunch sprints) can turn out this race into success. With Swift one seconf behind Ginanni in GC, I don´t believe he can keep 10th place. With today´s show of old Frankie, Vesuvio marches towards PT throne, imho they are clear favourites now.
Tsmoha, bring me some joy, please!!!

Brilliant stage! Finally a good day for Costa. I'm excited, this could be a top10 at last
Thanks for this TS. Schleck's victory could mean another burst of points for Vesuvio's bid for the title. It's looking good for them.
Hagen 's still not living to the expectations. A season to forget...

Honestly expected an EBH win and a more selective stage there - remind me never to take up betting. Sets Vesuvio up for a run at the title quite nicely, especially if Swift stays up there. Will be interesting to see what happens on the final stage. |

My team really tried, I got a feeling Flügel would've had a really good stage if it wasn't for the crash :/

What a great month July is! That's the 9th win of the month for Vesuvio (including jerseys) from 4 different riders.
Some seemed to do better expected on that stage - Sagan and Costa for example - but Vesuvio riders too. To an extent Schleck, but also Swifty. Old man Schleck managing to eke out another year at the top despite his stats decreases. Always fun to keep the race lead in house too!
Still, plenty more racing to go. At least my team should be strong enough to prevent a breakaway gain too much, but it won't take a lot for someone else in the Top 9 to take the GC if they win the final stage.
A lot relies on Frank Schleck and Swift if I'm to really challenge Wikipedia for the title. This race may bode well, but I always needed a large score here to stand a chance.

Wow, what a great stage for my team - Sagan and Bewley too overachieving quite a lot!

Swift having to launch a bit too early but at least held on for the bonus seconds of 3rd, and enough Points to keep that lead. I'd be surprised if he has any chance of staying in the Top 10 on GC on the final stage, given that he won't have the leaders jersey there to keep him as far towards the front as possible.

What a anonymous stage this was for my team. No breakaway, no Guardini in the sprint trains.
In the end though a decent 12th for him.
Sometimes I think that I shouldn`t have gone for a sprinter in all races, as this might have helped me with more breakaway luck. Then again I have prefered and actually still do to have a chance on any stage without having to hope for a breakaway appearance.
Next season though will see me far better as my sprinters could do something more than top15 and breakaway riders (Thurau, Villella, Schachmann, Koep, Olivier) should be stronger to eventually deliver more than a 5th or 7th. |

This isn't really going according to any plan at all
It's good that Boasson Hagen is up there in the sprints, but it isn't good at all if that means he doesn't bother on the hilly stages, as you could think it means seeing the two previous stages. And if it also means that Impey doesn't bother, it's a bit annoying and a bad decision by me to have both in the race.
Hopefully he and Impey get their act together and let the latter do a proper sprint on the two coming stages.
Bewley with another strong win, but Stauff with a surprisingly strong result. Congrats to both! |

My team sure knows how to pick'em. I have had riders in attack on the two flattest stages of all, and none in the hilly stages. That's really clever riding.

Wow, what a great lead-out for Sam once again! I am looking good in GC as well and even better for the next season when my sprint train is hopefully coming back stronger. More of stages like this please!

Regarding the recent stage this was a nice surprise.
I was really thrilled when going slowly through the sprint pictures after I saw Guardini behind Swift in a perfect position.
For a moment I thought he would lose his speed. In the end though he really came back for an impressive 5th, which is pretty awesome for him.
Must be my best sprint result this season since Guardini`s podium stage in Tirreno`s 5th stage.

Great to see Koretzky with another attack, and he almost had it timed in the end. It would have been pretty amazing for him to take his 3rd stagewin. He already have one more than Guerao this season, and Guerao shows that he has absolutely no ambition of changing that.

Pretty good sprint from Guardini there. Hoping he can get a podium between now and season end - be good for Rothaus and good for me trying to sell him |

What the hell has happened to Roelandts? He's gone from finishing 2nd in the sprint to outside the top 30!?!?!?!

Just checked it and it's pretty obvious that i must have missed him crashing on a previous stage (the hilly ones). Sorry, this is something i have to report on, so a horrible beginner's mistake by me here

No problem, I'd assumed something like that had happened

Even though I love to see the rainbow jersey go for it, it would have been nicer if it was Impey who tried on such pan flat stages.
Congratulations to Roman on another win, this looks like an awesome race for his team.
And thanks for the fast reporting, tsmoha! |
