Very well done by Impey and the team! Positioned him as well as possible, and grabbing second place in front of Degenkolb is a great result.
A dominant Swift and Vesuvio, though. Congratulations, SN!

That's what I expect from Swifty!! He had to win it from the way the train was set up. They can't match Pokerstars' A team but are pretty strong everywhere else. 1st, 5th and 8th is a pretty great result for me - although it would be better if the game gave some of the other lead sprinters a better chance of getting those Top 10 positions instead.

Swift needed that win, nice that the sprinters got their reward for turning up. let's face it Bouhanni hardly counts as it stands in mangame.
Nada from SRB rewards pretty scant from getting in break and Santos back of the sprint line once more.
easy day for Spilak.. Easy win fir him this race now?

Two stages for sprinters = two podiums for Degenkolb. Not bad, but with proper planning it could be better. Anyway, well deserved win for Swift today.
With four stages left, it´s already over for my team. Hopefully someone will at least show our jersey in BOTD.

Stauff continuing his consistent top ten performances and even Boeckmans managed to hang on for something.
Also congrats to SN for the win, it is nice to see Feillu being put to such good use.

Hello! Now this will be interesting. Taarame looks in top form, should provide for good entertainment in next stages.

Truly entertaining stuff from the big guns! Very well done by Taaramäe to both win the stage and gap Spilak. Spilak needs to gap the Estonian by quite a bit on the two coming stages considering the final TT. |

Spilak with a surprising loss there.
LLS in the Spilak group is fine for me. Had eventually hoped though to drop Faiers etc. on that stage. Now the mountain stages hopefully are nice for him and don`t give too big gaps. |

Yes very interesting and a tactical (ai screwup) error from festina to not allow the breakaway to mop up bonus seconds. The only road stage you would think possible for Spilak to lose time and he does to Taaramae. he clung on well earlier on in the year to elite stage racers, we should start taking Estonian seriously.
Behind to front two surely LLS should come under fire, cmon Rothaus on GC stage race podium must be a joke right ?

Great result from Monsalve, I feel my team is getting results over our stats in this race

Excellent work from Rein there, exactly where he needs to be in this race. With the yellow jersey bonus, can he now hang on enough to take victory in the final TT?

That was not optimal, at all... Losing the sprint, well that happens. Losing and additional 20 seconds is really bad. I don't think I can get the overall win from this race now, but it will be interesting to see how the mountains pan out. The TT is better for Taaramae than for Spilak. 2nd place in the GC is also OK, if Spilak can get some top stage results in the mountains.

real strong riding from the Estonian.
Good stuff from Pinot. Obviously I had tempered expectations with the tt and hill stage, so I am very happy with where he is.

Knew it was going to be hard for Rein to keep the lead, but excellent effort. He just needs to try and stay as close as possible to Spilak before that final TT, then maybe, just maybe, he has a chance

Still 5th but I think I will drop to ~8th most likely after the next stage. But nice fight by LLS there. |

Well done Spilak. I would have loved the win, so I hope I can get it in the next stage... I need something like a minute on Taaramae to win the race, I think.

Taaramäe and Spilak are putting up quite a show. Thanks for the nice reporting of it, tsmoha
Not much to say on our performance, good to see Levarlet try, but with such a small gap starting the penultimate climb, it was always going to be a stage for the favourites. |

Oh man this is going be close, tomorrow's stage looks quite easier than today's, at least the final climb doesn't look that steep. Should be another cracker.

Yippee!
Amazing ride by Jose! Clearly deserved win for his attacking style of racing, greatly tactically done!
