Licensed in Azerbaijan this is not the most well-known team in cycling. Yet...
7 riders got a win in 2013 and they have all been selected for the Tour alongside Clarke and Craven to bolster the climbing squad in support of pur strongest climber John Ebsen.
Goals

Win 2 stages

Top 10 in KOM

Top 20 in GC

Sorry guys, the racing has started, and I will start reporting soon. However I am going to start a Giro d'Italia version almost immediately after this one and you both are free to join.

Team Presentation
Welcome to the Team Raleigh 2013 Continental Tour de France team presentation. We would like to thank the race organisation for inviting us to this prestigious event. We are pleased to relay that with just 24 hours to go to the race start, all 9 Team Raleigh riders have passed the mandatory pre-race medical with flying colours.
Before introducing our squad, we first want to highlight the contribution of our great team sponsors in providing the platform for our project that has brought us here today.
Raleigh as a cycling brand requires little introduction, with a heritage of over 125 years of bicycle production, the brand is a true icon of the industry. Brand awareness reached its heights via the highly successful TI-Raleigh team active throughout the 1970’s and 80’s. The rejuvenation of the brand as it has re-entered the top end racing bike market with the Militis range is underpinned by Raleigh’s support for our performance cycling team.
Key secondary sponsors including Global shipping and logistics provider GAC, the Nottingham Building Society and car sales and auto parts provider the Desira Group plc., all contribute to bringing a crucial long-term stability to the partnership that ensures that Team Raleigh is headed for its rightful place back at the top table of cycle sport.
With 21 days of racing ahead, Team Raleigh has brought a balanced squad that should feature in multiple breakaways and expect strong performances from our cadre of sprinters in bunch finishes. Although we lack a recognised GC leader, we have every confidence that we will deliver a strong GC position overall. Although ambitious, with the excellent competition present at the start-line we recognise a tough ordeal awaits, and there will be many ups and downs through the three weeks of the Tour. Team Raleigh embraces the challenge.
Riders
 Graham Briggs
 Alexandre ‘Sandy’ Blain
 Evan Oliphant
 Rob Britton
 Lachlan Norris
 Russell Hampton
 Mark Christian
 Matthew Holmes
 Eric Berthou
[Sponsors Goals
1. 2 stage wins
2. Win a jersey
3. Top 4 GC overall
Team management are confident of attaining the first goal with our squad here at the TdeF, and will likely focus on green for obtaining the 2nd. It was nonethless a difficult decision in terms of final squad selection. In committing to bring Briggs, it is obvious we have one of the strongest riders on the start list for the bunch sprints, however it remains unclear whether or not he will be able to drag himself over all those mountains to see Paris in 21 days time. In this context, we are more likely to focus on Sandy Blain in the medium to long term for an assault on green. Frankly, the third goal is perhaps beyond the capabilities of the squad, but the sponsors pay the bills, so we’ll give it our all! Without any obvious GC contender or out-and-out mountain goat to call on, perhaps the all-round solid competency of Rob Britton can cause a stir over 3 weeks. Alternatively a rider such as Lachlan Norris can perhaps take advantage during those long transition stages in week 2 and 3 to infiltrate the right break and gain back time lost in the overall. With team captain Eric Berthou bringing previous Grand Tour experience, we are confident that our lads will make the right decisions on the road to produce the best outcome for Team Raleigh.
