Well, I edited a few sponsor goals, to be honest.
I replaced some of my goals for easier races(.2 instead of .HC & .1), since I didn't want to ride a lot .1 races, I like riding .2 races and winning once in a while much better.

I dont know, if i understand you correct. because i think i can read it in two ways.
1) You have replaced the races, that you have goals in from .2 races instead of 0.1 and .HC races..
Is this possible? or are you using your editor skills?
2) You have negotiated your goals for .1 and .HC, and thereby lowered your budget, because you dident saw them as being possible with the riders you had available. |

It's 1. And indeed an editor.
Though I would love to use number 2, I would come in direct budget trouble. It's just inevitable like this, unless I fire all my staff. And since I use a small talented CT team(and relatively low stat progress settings), I just can't live without trainers.

okay thought as much ... is it hard to do?(with a editor)? its not a big problem for me at the moment, because, i play with a Pro tour team(even though it could be nice, to have more stage races, and less classics, when i am SKY), but i usually like to play with smaller teams, as you are(but i am waiting for a bigger/newer patch/DB), so it would be nice to know how to do it
But if its hard to do, don't bather explaining... |

Open the save-game(extract .cdb) with an editor. (Lachi's is what I use).
You need to extract the one in My docs/Users/xxx/Solo/Your DB.
Go to sponsor goals. 15 goals are displayed. Click the one that's too hard/not nice to race. Replace the race for the one you would like to substitute it for.
Do it with the others you want to change as well.
Export to .cdb, and save it in the same location as you got the save from.(preferable on another name)
There you go!

Career is nice but I do hate the instability of the game. Still too many post-race crashes or pre-load crashes..
You would think such issues are unthinkable on a i7 3770k with hd 7970 and 16gb ram .. Oh well. |

Thanks @Jesleyh that sounds easy enough, thanks for the detailed explanation.
To get the thread back on topic, here is a little update from my SKY career.. my March goals starts with..
Sponsor goals = Pars- Nice Top 3 and Tirreno - adriatico winner. Personal goals = 2 victories. i have taken the Colombian duo to PN and Wiggings to TA....
i failed in both goals(sponsor and personal) in PN by only being number 4 overall(Uran), i won the mountain jersey(tierhan(cant remember how its spelled)), but nothing else worth mentioning.
In TR its looks quiet the same, but this can change.. i am standing at the last time trial(9 km) and 1,46 after the leading jersey.. The guys ahead of me are, Betancure(leader) - Rodriques (.06) and valverde (.30)...
What position do you believe i can realistically end at?
I will come with the result later

It won't be easy to take 1:46 on them in 9km. I fear that won't be happening.

Anyway, on my career with Saxo Bank. I had suprisingly many classic goals. RVV and LBL more important than Giro/Tour... weird with Contador and Kreuziger as best leaders.
I found the cobbled classics remarkably easier than last years, yet Cancellara was ofcourse unbeatable with Breschel. But still he was the 2nd most consistent cobble rider while being much inferior to Boonen with stats.
In the Ardennes classics I had to do well in FW and LBL. In FW I won with Kreuziger. In LBL Kreuziger simply lacked endurance and I finished 11th (Gilbert won). Kreuziger is also my leader for the Giro, in wish I attempt to podium
Goals and results so far (I only played races w a goal)
Top 3 Omloop - Breschel (Top 10) - FAIL
Top 5 KBK - Bennati (1st) - SUCCESS
Win Paris Nice - Contador (1st) - SUCCESS
Top 5 MSR - Bennati (Top 10) - FAIL
Top 10 E3 Prijs - Breschel (3rd) - SUCCESS
Top 5 Gent Wevelgem - Bennati (2nd) - SUCCESS
Top 10 Ronde van Vlaanderen - Breschel (2nd) - SUCCESS
Top 5 Fleche Wallone - Kreuziger (1st) - SUCCESS
Top 10 Liege Bastogne Liege - Kreuziger (11th) FAIL
next goals:
top 3 giro, win danish champs, win Tour, win tour of denmark, stage victorie Eneco and top 3 Vuelta
Tour is only 3 stars goal, giro only 2 stars. To compare, LBL was 5 stars and RVV 4 stars.
Weird as fuck |

That's crazy indeed. I can imagine LBL being moderately important, with Kreuzinger on the team, but Tour & Giro so low is crazy indeed!
Some nice results achieved though!

you where quite right... i lost the stage to Spartacus, came second (thomas) and third (Wiggins).. but still took a little above a minute on the three others, but not enough to move away from third places.. so again, i failed in account to my goals.
the stage i just ran, was quite great with sea and boats, but you also drived through two busses and a barreire. to bad, otherwise a pretty stage.
@Ruben, well done by the FW and good luck in the giro |

Well, yes, the goals you set for them decide the schedule.
So it's recommended to define goals for everyone.
The green level decides what the form of the rider is at what moment. Sometimes, green is changed to red. That means that the rider will be fatigued and can only achieve the form left in green, so can't fully peak.

Very strange problem, I go into my sponsors section, it shows the main sponsors but when I want to click the sponsor next to were it says Sky, when I click nothing happens just stays on the same screen. It happened on my FDJ career so I started again to see if I get the same bug.

i'll have to do that one day... it will be kind of complicated for the lower stats riders... |

The long ITT in the Giro with the hill in the end has an incredibly advantage for human players.
When you consolidate energy for the final part you can crush the AI. I won with fucking Kreuziger with 72 ITT. Nibali +2, Wiggins +50, rest of the field +2m..
Lol. Even Majka was 8th.
So still time trials are like PCM 12. Too easy |

I've noticed all Hilly ITT's to be like this in this game so far.
I had 4 of my riders in the Top 5 on the stage. Go hard on the climb, and then put the effort up even more on a descent and they still dont really lose any green bar.

Giro is being dominated by Nibali. There's really not much anyone can do against him. I'm now 2nd with Kreuziger +5'50. Quintana 3rd a few seconds back, uran 4th at 7+.. minutes.
Now 1 hilly stage, 2 mt stages and the MTT remaining. The gaps are absolutely massive in the top 10
edit:
Last 2 mountains proved fatal for Kreuziger. I just could not for the life of me keep up with the Colombians anymore. Kreuziger finished 4th. 1 place short of our goal.
Damn damn daaaamn :x
Still outperformed many better climbers. But I'm very dissappointed I couldn't hold it

TDF
Contador vs Froome all the way with Nibali always staying in contact as 3rd. In the final few stages I managed to reduce my gap from 1'34 to 12 seconds with Froome. And then Contador had a bad day to Grand Bornard, where he basically lost the Tour. I just couldn't keep up and lost 3 minutes. Almost losing 2nd place to Nibali as well.
In the final uphill stage he was recovered and finished with Froome and Nibali though. So a bit weird. 1 bad day ruined my chances
Rest of the field AGES behind. |
