It was bad tactics on Maxbo's part im afraid. Pliuchkin felt the need to still relay when Grivko attacked, so Grivko didnt relay with Van Summeren and was left be the Belgian. But of course, when Grivko returned to the chase group - Pluchkin had been dropped.

Is that so? In that case my sport director's jobs is hanging by a thread
I was actually wondering, do the riders in the pack have different fitness and do you have to build up your riders fitness with a lot of races grouped together in his programme just before his big goal of the season, or will his fitness be the same no matter what?

This turned out to be a great race. Hermans and Voigt should buy a lottery ticket due to what happend in the fourth stage.

Rankings
Individual
No change in the top 3 but Jens Voigt moves up to 4th. Bobbie Traksel scored some more points and maintains his 5th place, having overtaken Pozzovivvo. In 7th is Nico Mattan, who finally grabbed a deserved stage win in Belgium, having previously been the highest ranked rider to have not won anything: that role is now held by 15th place Oscar Pereiro. Victory for Vansummeren lifts him to 22nd, while Zberg (27th) and Wiggins (30th) break into the top 30 having passed 100 point.

Team
Tinkoff remain comfortable leaders but Letua's hold on 2nd is under threat from Designa Kokken, who are now just 50 points behind the Malaysian team. Designa have once again swapped positions with Agritubel, but this time they have opened up a 52 point gap. Panaria remain 5th but Landbouwkredit are closing in and are just 12 points behind. A 4 way battle for 7th is currently headed by Wiesenhof, who rise one place. In 8th are Une Orbitel after a rise of 2, and are now equal in points with 9th placed HealthNet. DFL slip to 10th despite a strong race, but are just 9 points away from 7th. Further down, Nippo continue their slide to 16th as Marco Polo rise above them. SouthAustralia.com could be the next team to pass Nippo in the coming races following their move into 17th, ahead of Benfica. While Relax-Gam celebrated their first win by moving past PCMdaily-Jobs.com. Who knows? Maybe theyll keep their good run of form up and pass Benfica too.

Another second place. Gut-wrenching for Hegreberg, I felt sure he would take his second win of the season. Oh well, still a pretty good race for me though.

overall a pretty good Tour. 10th overall for Horner, several top 10's on the stages. Lots of breaks with Slipsteam guys in it.
