Sadly there are many people who do not play by the rules in real life. (I am sure your read about the ones involved in cycling sports).
I programmed the tools so that you can fix the things which go wrong in the game.
I always fix the contracts because the game is just plain wrong on these.
I believe that everybody should be able to play the game to their liking, and if that includes editing, then it is fine with me.
I mean, we all develop and use the custom DB's because the game doesn't do a great job in some areas (stats, amount of teams, amount of stages, graphical stuff...) that can be rather easily improved.
By the same standard, some of us feel like editing things in their save games that seem illogical and/or are bugs.

Maybe you made the offer too soon in the season. If you wait until he has some good results, he might consider to stay in your team because he feels supported.
BTW: Did you know that riders will approach you, if their contract runs out. Maybe it would be wise to wait until they contact you.
ok trying to change a riders contract with ur program. Did some research with the game and figured out said riders money earnings per month, type (protected rider, teammate, etc), and if they are sprinter type or stagiaire. then went to DYN_contract_cyclist and attempted to input some numbers and types on a few riders and then on the contract end I put it maybe at 2016 but the game did not accept this. It accepted everything else I changed on said riders like their names and everything, what am I doing wrong. or how do I change the contract end step by step.
If you want to change the contract, you have to edit the save, maybe that was your error.
Also, you can only prolong contracts which are not running out in the actual season.
Else you have to edit the cyclist also (DYN_cyclist) but don't ask me how to do it.
