I have no idea what Sörensen tried to do today. I am certainly not happy with a mediocre third place, when he should have won the KoM jersey. Will watch his performance much closer now, and if I see no improvement, I will have to take action. Perhaps even fire him!

Really felt sorry for you. 
I think the main problem was the narrow road just for the ~200m at the KoM. The riders being placed 1-3 or maybe 4 at the start also decided the KoM. It`s not that Sörensen didn`t try, he was just not placed at the front when sprinting, when normally he would be able to overtake some on other stages.
For me a mediocre race. Thanks to Vantomme not being in the breaks. Than sending Boom to the work was a waste as well as it might have cost him a few points in the overall. Definitely not the best combination obviously. |

Positions are important, and a big part of the sport. If Sörensen can't handle that, he has some serious issues!

Great points haul for VW here. Will be interesting to see how this, and the last few mountain stage races, have affected the battle for promotion.
