Game crashed in 31/12/2013

Hi,
I'm in January 2013 in my savegame. I had replaced the faulty stages before I started a career. I wanted to open the savegame with an editor to check if everything was fine, and I get the following error message:
"There is an invalid character in the code. Line 722357, position 69."
this happens during the "reading data" phase. I used Lachi's editor, but I got a similar error message while using the Full Editor.
A weekly save from december 2012 opens normally.
I'm a bit worried about this, what's your opinion?

Normally the error comes from a special character which is not allowed in XML documents. Fixing that character would resolve the problem with mentioned editors.
Try the fast editor. That editor uses another technique to open the save and it should work even if you have such an error in your DB.

Thanks a lot for your help.
There was indeed an out of place character in a stage name in the 5th variant of the Tour de France. I couldn't edit it out, so I changed the rules to skip the variant.

Thank you so much!! I went crazy with this crash! I had the same thing with stage 3 in the Tour of Brittain in the 3th season, but then I found the error and fixed it myself. This time I really couldn't find the reason why it crashed and thought I lost my game...
So thank you very much!! No I can continue ruining my social life!

I dont have that file you are all talking about, the file that is in MyDoc doesnt even have a STA_stage.
Didnt play the game because of this bug.

That is not the file you need to edit. That's your Local.cdb. The file you gotta edit is your savegame, which is located in My Docs/PCM11/Users/your username/Database/Solo/DB of your career. This one is the one you should edit (or put to download for someone to edit it), and it'll have STA_stage.

I'm sorry, I forgot that the savegame needs to be a Weekly Save between Nov 20th and Nov 30th. You can find them in My Docs/PCM/Users/Your Username/Database/WeeklySave). And btw, I think you can attach it directly to the post (click on 'reply' instead of the quick reply and 'attachment' , should make it easier to upload and download.
Sorry again for the small mistake.

Well I haven't done this many times but this should work. Just place the file in the first folder I mentioned you (the solo one) and rename it.
