Why not just give Pelizotti the points for winning every stage left and keep the current GC and end it :-p Seems like he wont let anyone else win...

Well when you look at the rest of the stages and the margin Pelli has - it would be normal to allow breakaways some latitude. There is that long time trial - not sure Pelli will win that at least

After six successive stage wins at last Pellizotti is off the podium as KoM dominators Quiksilver take another stage win.
I am delighted of course that Siustou is using his hilly prowess to good effect - he seems to be able to mainly live with the Italian on this terrian. Still Pellizotti not winning breaks our run of podiums which was running up a nice total!
Really looking for someone to have a go in the final stages here - but guessing that protecting the runner up spot will take precidence!

No, they dont. Stage win number 9 for Pellizotti
.... and for the fifth time Siutsou is in second place! So much so that he is now second place on the points comp!

.,. okay time for someone else to win a stage. Builds hopes up foolishly for Haider (knowning that one of the Martinez's is probably more likely!)

The stages tick over, Youtube find someone to step up and take the time trial. Criminally wasted Niemec takes the TT win - good for him, now back to domestique duties for you.
The Points comp looks close for second, the KoM comp could be a bit of a battle too!

Been away a few days, because I was in Milan to watch Inter-Bayern...bad result
Anyway it's good to see that Basso has started to perform and Nozal who still is in top 10.

On the positive - Siutsou managed to do as well as he could with 2nd overall and Kilun in the top 10 is pretty good.
On the negative - missing out on any stage victories at all makes my 15 stage wins goal look pretty bleak. We have steadily picked up stage wins here and there all season and I thought we would be good for at least 3 stage wins here. Unfortunately Pellizotti was not in a sharing mood.
Youtube have had a crappy season so far - no doubt this will lift them - how far I will see in the rankings update.
A huge thanks though to OlegTinkov and SN for making this happen - I will have to think long and hard about entering this next year though (whether or not we are on pcm2010!)

Damn it! Dupunt deserved more than to lose the KoM competion by a single point.
Well the team did quite well but it's clearly not that smart to have a B team in a race like this. Better bring a stronger GC rider/Sprinter with me if there will be a next time - this race is simply too good not to participate in.

Just about managed to sneak into the top 5, which was a goal for me, a couple of stage wins, and Delgado finally deciding that winning the KOM would be a good idea, so not too bad.
Would have been interesting to see how the race turned out without Pellizotti, reckon it could have been much more interesting. |

But much less fun. |
