It is very very interesting indeed, a lot of teams have an awful lot resting on the Tour de France (and in some cases in one rider!).
Lafarge and two others... place your bets place your bets |

If Lafarge demotes, will it disband or will that mean another PT team relegates?

Three, but Lafarge is pretty much a given

It depends how Mercedes-Benz do. If they promote, then Levi has the option of keeping 2 if he wants - or if he doesnt want Lafarge still, then they would disband.
If Mercedes-Benz dont promote, then Levi can choose which team he wants to keep

Oh well. I guess a crash for Thomas Dekker would be pretty disastrous then.
Still, Devolder should do well in Tour of Northern Europe (finished 2nd last season, as far as I remember - after my rider, Gusev, who's now in CT), Dekker tends to win the Deutschland Tour.
Still rather optimistic.

I think Phillips will work there way out of it. Good to see Phinney making a run at the individual title. As with my team in general, alot hinges on him having a good TDF, namely not crashing. Although a number of things are going to have to go right, im still holding out hope for a top 3 (goal) at the end of the year.

Cool that a sprinter can score that many points in a small tour such as Tour de Suisse. Especially when the GC man crashed.

He better not think about that this year. I'm counting on Fothen's national bonus to fulfill the team goal of winning the Deutschland Tour
Nice Tour de Suisse. A stage win and a Top-10. Should be enough to minimize the damage in Eindhoven.

I think youre overreacting a bit there/looking at it too negatively
Firstly, looking back at the rankings, I dont think youve ever been 2nd (Auber were there, but Cunego took La Gazzetta past them) - and you actually had a higher ranking post-Vuelta (3rd) than post-Giro (4th).
And you are still less than 150 points away from 3rd - and then 100 more to 2nd. La Gazzetta only have Bennati in the Tour, so I expect them to lose ground on the rest of the Top 7.

Just a shame for you that my double-german TT power of Kittel and Barth will help Uran gain minutes and minutes on the whole field in the TTT /iwish

Perhaps a bit negative. I thought I was up to 2nd for a brief period. My bad. I doesn't look to the position post-giro/post-vuelta but the perspective that my team lost 500points or more on 5-6-7 teams in the past races, which have not only meant a lose of position, but also a real danger that I won't recover them again. I don't think I stand any chance of catching neither Lipton nor Domina. And I don't think I will outscore La Gazzetta in the Tour. I don't have a rider that will get good stageresults, and I expect La Gazzetta to be top 3 in atleast 10 stages.
Then there is Wikipedia and Pearl who will definately outperform me during the Tour aswell. I really needed a good performance in, atleast the Vuelta but also imagined a better GC spot in the Eire Tour (15th), The Dauphine was horrible stagewise, and the GC wasn't good compared to my competitors, and at the end the Tour of Switzerland didn't give me anything to go by either. I lost out a lot on my competitors, and I didn't manage to get anything from the boring stages.
So overall not horrible, but definately downhill from the Giro :-)
If I get top 10GC in the Tour that will be what I can get from that. My sprinters have shown all season that they are not capable of getting top 10's, but still my team count on them, so they don't attack. I will be very lucky to get a single top 3 result in the Tour, unlike Auber and La Gazzetta who are probably outscoring my in both stages and points rankings... Pearl, Domina, Lipton, Wikipedia will be outscoring me on every aspect, and then I could've really used my 500pts lead after this race...
