Has a contract with Ceramica Flaminia until the end of the year. He wants to change teams to participate in major races (he has also said in his facebook).
It will not be easy to see him at the Vuelta. |

Nibali for sure...confirmed after the Giro. I think might be the favorite with F. Schleck ... But Spanish are strong in their race... |

Oh, he could He is like 30 and he's got as his biggest results a top 5 in the Tour and a win in Amstel four years ago.
The only Schleck that could ever win a Grand Tour is Andy

Actually I think Frank was in very good shape this year and possibly the 3rd best climber in the world so a GT win and at the least a podium is possible, as long as he recovers in time for some good lead-up training for the Vuelta. |

I do not believe Fränk Schleck is the third best climber in the world. If so, he never showed that. Don't refer to the Tour of 2009. Because Wiggins/Armstrong/Klöden where the 4th/5th/6th climbers there. And he was only really good there in 1 stage. Andy even held back most stages because of Fränk
I'd rate a whole lot of guys as a better climber than Fränk... Menchov, Sanchez, Vandenbroeck, Gesink, Anton, Evans, Basso, Mosquera, Scarponi and Valverde are better climbers than Fränk Schleck. |

well lets see , nibali changed his season planner after Giro , so Vuelta will be his target , if he doesnt crash or have a one bad day in a Grand Tour like he always has , then he will be on the podium in Madrid

I was saying this year... Mainly because he looked like he was climbing well in prep for the tour. Either way I over-shot it. more like a top 5 for him. |

He looked really good in suisse, where, at the top of the only real col in that Tour, he was 1'30 behind Gesink, who barely finished 6th in the Tour.
But you are correct that on a good day, Fränk Schleck can do top 3 or even win with a nice advantage. The thing is, he is very inconsistent as a climber, he also has days where he can't even follow the top 10.
He is not as regular as stage racer or pure climbers |
