The season is startet but our two austrailians riders are injured so the cant race in the national championship 
But on the bride side Santos Tour Down Under starts NOW!!

So now it is on the first race of the year..... Our hopes for todays race was to get Bjorn Peters in a good position for the sprint if it will come.
Many attacks were there in the start of the race. Finally we got a breakaway. It was a quite big one with 14 riders. an one of them were ours Dirk Müller
The breakaway worked really well and got over 6 min. at one point. But then the pack speeded up. With 3 km. left they got caught. And a big surprise the Astana rider Vinokourov lead the sprint.
Bjorn Peters was right behind Tyler Farrar... could he get the victory
But in the last 300 m. nobody could get to the Italian champion Pozzato and he will ride in yellow the next day
Bjorn Peters came in as number 5. still a great result for us.
