Not bad at all. 4th in the stage scores me some points again, as do my 3rd place in the points competiton and 4th place in the KOM.

And with Posthuma 8th, and already 2 stages, all in all I think that compensates enough for Burghardts second in GC.

Surely Dave outscored me here, but not enough to takeover the PT lead. So thats another step closer to victory Smile

Excellent performance there from Joly. With the stage win too, hopefully that will see the team close the gap a little on Am Suzuki.

Having said that, with the races left, we'll need something special to stay up.

Might be time to talk to the Eurosport lawyers about a legal appeal. Pfft

Well, any appeal would be based around Cavendish and the team not starting at the Tour of Qatar. Wink

FANTASTIC!

I did have a good feeling about Gusev for this race - but winning it? Hadn't expected that. Excellent!

argh, really good results, but i really needed the overall win for burghardt. Still great job and Spilak redeemed himself a bit although i may have been better off sending him to a different stage race.

Next year the race could see a different result, as the order of the stages will be reversed.

i.e. 2010 Stage 8 = 2011 Stage 1, 2010 Stage 7 = 2011 Stage 2 ...

That means the hills will be before the cobbles next season, which could have an effect
