last time the yellow jersey won a non-mountainous road stage was a LOOOOOONG time ago.
great attack, and he showed why he's TT world champion. that was a short TT and no one got him in the end. brilliant
(plus I get a lot more points for my GT competition ) |

yup. the man is amazing...not that I didn't know that already he showed right now exactly why I put him up for 85 flat on my DB.
anyway, last year he won Paris-Roubaix...
this year he wins a stage in the Tour IN YELLOW, a stage that finished on the same place Paris-Roubaix starts...
EDIT: today a sprinters' stage and a break almost makes it...
tomorrow is even better for breaks...and thursday is just unpredictable...it's going to be exciting...

that was quite fantastic. What a stage, but a long one, and a slow one.
I came in from work with 76km to go, normally i get in with about 20km to go. |

The real amazing feat, other than Cancellara, was the fact that Cavendish didnt crash!!!
He took 9th in a very unorganised sprint/Cancellara chase.

i hope tomorrows stage is a completley organised sprint, with no crashes, so we can actually see if Cav's early results were flukes or he can indeed prove himself against the big boys
because up to now he has had no luck at all |

Agreed, if he hadnt crashed yesterday then who knows what could have happened? He was in a perfect position.

yes could be good for breaks, but i think CSC would rather it came to a sprint and they brought it back together around 10kms to go so it doesn't happen like today's stage |

yeah Thursday there are 8 catagorised climbs, thats a tease for the alps perhaps. We'll see..
and Addy they brought it together with about 3km to go. It was extremly close

I have a feeling that the sprinters team will be more organised tomorrow - having almost missed out to a break and then losing to Cancellara.
What does everyone think of my TDF v PCM project?

I think it's going to be interesting looking at the results, but that the fact that you yourself use a team, and that another team is out is going to automatically change things a bit. |
