Van Garderen in third, I'm not so sure about that. So far he didn't impress yet as a Tour podium contender.
Schleck going home might be the best thing to do for him, actually.
Fixed it for you
Interesting that Jens sees Tejay as a podium contender, the battle for the podium spots (2nd and 3rd that is...) will certainly be nice to watch. |

I interviewed Jens Voigt last night...
The fact that Schleck is not ready to fight for the GC means that Radioshack, including Voigt, will get the chance to go for breakaways more often.
More Voigt breakaways \o/ then Schleck can't be all bad! |

Well, I already expressed my envy, but I think Jens showed in Suisse he still has it at the moment.
I doubt he'll demand a huge salary (though his children are slowly coming into the shopping fever age), and everyone knows what asset he can be for the team if he doesn't get obviously rusty until then.

Plus Voigt can be a huge media asset. Everyone likes him and he can develop media attention for that reason alone. Sponsors love that.

Robert Gesink rant, he's fed up of being criticised constantly.

I don't know why but for some reason the UCI demanded from the organisation of Paris-Bruxelles that the race can't be longer than 200 kms.
Paris-Bruxelles will now continue as the "Brussels Cycling Classic" and will only be ridden on Belgian territory.
Can someone please tell me this is a joke? What's next, shortening Paris-Tours? The Kuurne Cycling CLassic? |

In their defense you could make the race 10k and the result would be the same ie. sprint finish..
But yes, just wow...

Not exactly. Some riders can survive 200 kms of racing better than others. The long distance is there to sort the weak from the strong you could say.
Why do so many people think that sprinters are the lazy inferior kind of cyclists, or say things like "just make the race 10kms long, a sprint is just a sprint" or "sprinters are lazy, just hiding after their team mates who do the work" etc. |

This is just plain wrong.
It's the same thing with people who thinks it's only the last mouintain that counts, just because they only attack there in modern cycling.

Pff UCI, stop micromanaging the classics and do something useful against doping or something.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Does modern cycling start in 2013?

More like 2012 Giro d'Italia, with Rodriguez refusing to do anything before the last 2 km in any race since. |

Amazing, changing the winner so someone more famous gets the title.

No, it'll just be the KBK. Kuurne Cycling Classic is too long to be allowed

Cav on getting third in ZLM stage yesterday: https://www.cyclin...r-zlm-toer
Honestly, I really like his reaction here. I didn't really like him before because he can be quite arrogant sometimes but this is a nice response for him. Simply the fact that he compliments others who did very good, and that he is still satisfied with his result, gives me a bit more respect for the guy.
Thumbs up Cav. |

Cavendish said on the team's website.
= press release = there's a very good chance that Cavendish never really said those words. It's made up (to a certain degree) by a PR guy.
(That being said, I like Cavendish and his attitude)

I'd trust that more than any quote that ends with "XXX said to the team's website" |
