TdF Stage 15 -- Embrun - Prato Nevoso

img291.imageshack.us/img291/6934/15tdfprofile.jpg

img132.imageshack.us/img132/4862/15tdf1.jpg
Sammy Sanchez trying to regain lost time by attacking at Col de Agnel, he has a lead of 4 minutes with 50 kms left

img607.imageshack.us/img607/1578/15tdf2.jpg
Andy Schleck attacks at the flat before Prato Nevoso, which is complete waste of energy if you ask me

img638.imageshack.us/img638/5338/15tdf3.jpg
Never got more than a 40 second lead, and is caught 10 kms after he attacked.

img819.imageshack.us/img819/3066/15tdf4.jpg
And Sammy is caught not long after that.

img847.imageshack.us/img847/7926/15tdf5.jpg
Contador attacks at the bottom of the climb

img846.imageshack.us/img846/6819/15tdf6.jpg
Gautier and VdB reported that they had great legs and attacked, they are here companied by Andy Schleck

img807.imageshack.us/img807/148/15tdf7.jpg
VdB towing on Andy, Gautier having speed problems. Further back Kreuziger is joined by Basso and later Wiggins.

img828.imageshack.us/img828/6133/15tdf8.jpg
Contadors lead is now around 30 seconds. Nibali and Menchov has joined the group at the back

img811.imageshack.us/img811/7430/15tdf9.jpg
Van den Broeck almost catches Contador at the end, he nearly stopped when he celebrated.

img268.imageshack.us/img268/5954/15tdf10.jpg
Andy is 3rd 25 seconds behind VdB, this shows that his attack earlier was complete waste.

img130.imageshack.us/img130/8185/15tdf11.jpg
Group no. 2 is around "1'30 behind Contador.

Thanks! I still think I need to gain some more time in the mountains to finish in the top 5, so we'll see how things plays out.

2 man in the break, so Haussler gets 2 (?) points. I think it is wasted energy, so Feillu doesn't do anything for the points.

img585.imageshack.us/img585/457/21tdf2.jpg
The lead-outs

img196.imageshack.us/img196/2263/21tdf3.jpg
Voeckler then places Feillu on Hausslers wheel

img190.imageshack.us/img190/1392/21tdf4.jpg
Hushovd does have the speed to keep the other sprinters behind, therefore Haussler and Feillu are being boxed in.

img847.imageshack.us/img847/7679/21tdf5.jpg
Feillu is unable to get in front of Haussler, despite having great legs

img228.imageshack.us/img228/3466/21tdf6.jpg
Cavendish wins, Feillu behind Haussler. Major disappointment....
Now I really regret not going for the intermediate sprint Sad
