I won a road race last weekend. The road stage of the Downton 2 Day Classic. I attacked and rode about 25 miles with 1 guy who wasn't that strong and who wasn't doing any work, and then dropped him on the final climb. I did a 59 minute 25 the next day but still lost 3 minutes to the eventual winner. I came 3rd overall in the end. |

Nice going to win a road race. Takes some fitness to do that.
I've just gone and commited a sin. I've bought a bike off Halfords. After spending my entire afternoon in 4 local bike shops trying to get a single speed to train on, I've given up and gone with a boardman. It's surprisingly hard it seems to walk into a shop, actually saying "I want to buy a bike", and come out with said bike.

Took part in a MTB race last weekend. Haven't seen the results yet, but finished somewhere in the Top 20, just 4 minutes behind the winner.
Most importantly I beat all my mates, eventhough that did have something to do with the half of the pack picking the wrong way after just 500 metres. The front half that is. Who cares, I had fun

I just noticed something. A rider named Cody Kaiser won the Junior National Cyclocross event a few weeks ago and is going to race Worlds. I thought the name sounded familiar and I just now found out why.
Looking through some of my results this year I came across a 5th place finish at a race with a very hilly and technical circuit. 3 guys made up the front group while I was in 5th on the road trying to catch the 4th placed guy on the road. I caught up to him at the line though he still beat me, his name: Cody Kaiser.
Weird how riders can be WC quality in one discipline and only a tiny bit better than me in another

hard to say US is a major power in cyclocross though but yet maybe you should become a cyclocrosser 
prevent hangovers --> stay drunk
