He may not have kicked onto the huge wins in the U23 ranks, but two Italian puncheur-climbers really isn't enough, wouldn't you all agree?

I completely ignored Covi because I thought he had already been picked, surprised he got so far out. |

Recapping the draft first of all it has to be said that I'm a little disappointed that we lost a couple of players which is a shame. That said, this was most likely the wildest draft anyway with Corona hindering the races.
The pick of the bunch I guesss was Olav Kooij, a magnificent sprinter that can go uphill as well. A strong opening weekend in Croatia made him rise his draft stock significantly.
With Wright, Verschaeve, Fancellu, Covi and Ayuso five more riders have been picked that already signed WT-contracts either right now or for the future. My pick of the bunch would be Ayuso, He's just from 2002 and a really strong guy. Covi a steal though too.
Watson and Waerenskjold are some rather strong u23 riders that scream for potential. So do the other picks, though they're a little more exotic.
Tesfazion has seen magnificent results in Africa, and if his game translate to Europe he's a very good pick. Same goes for Yevgeniy Fedorov, that has been on a run in 2020 so far and is one of the most powerful riders in his year. Savva Novikov the guy with the highest boom or bust potential, bursting on the scene in 2020 and lately earning a CCC Devo contract, though the future of that team is very uncertain.
Andreas Kron instead is more of a no-brainer, he's a versatile and strong PCT rider that surely has a long pro career. Filippo Conca as a tall climber had some great results in u23Stage Races and earned a 2021 contract with Androni already, which he backed up at Laigueglia immediately.
Hocevar, Pena and Mayrhofer the biggest reaches of this draft. The german has had a stellar 2018 with a 2nd at the mountain WC behind Evenepoel and looks like a very good climber, but his 2019-year may have made him slip until here. Kristijan Hocevar has been an inside-pick from Slovenia, he can go strong both on the climbs and the hills which makes him a very good prospect. Jesus David Pena is a rider that can climb very well and has gone very strong both at the Colombia-u23 and the Baby-Giro, but you can't say 100% that he translate into european cycling. |

Hey guys. I PMed Croatia about getting in for the next round, and he has kindly allowed me to pick right away as the last draft round recently took place and the next one wont take place for a few months. I've been allowed to pick 2 riders. I ctrl+f(ed) on the first page, and this last page, and didnt come up with these two riders, so I will pick them.
Spoiler Michael Garrison
 Lewis Askey
Garrison is younger brother to Ian, who just secured a ride with Deceuninck, and based on his results at the same age, he looks like he will be even better. Ian just missed the cutoff deadline by about a month as well, otherwise I might have picked him.
Askey on the other hand looks like a future classics rider and has won, or Top 5ed several of the JR cobble classics already. Not sure if they are "the best" picks available, but I think potential wise they look quite promising. Just might not pay any dividends for a few years still.
