Not really impressive. It would be impressive if he held that pace or on to the group the entire climb, but the fact is he was just there to set a very high pace and then cruise to the finish. A lot of guys who are climbing better than him today were dropped by him because they have to set a pace that will last them the whole climb.
Or to put it another way: He went that fast because he only had to do half the climb. He's coasting the rest of the way up.
