=============================================

Season 2010 is about start! Unfortunately we can´t defend or even improve 2nd place overall from last year in Tour of Wellington and will start season a week later in Qatar. We´ll fight on two rows during February, most of our riders will be in action from beginning of season.

Clear sky, high temperatures and especially omnipresent strong wind - welcome in Qatar. My team has divided onto three parts. First one will opened season in Tour of Qatar, 6-day long race. This race is traditionally opened by team time trial. 5 totally flat stages are following. Competition, including some big names, was strong, my riders weren´t good prepared, so I couldn´t expect any great results. "Good shape" of my riders has confirmed in opening team time trial. Despite of maximal effort, my team finished last with huge gap to others.

An Post - Sean Kelly Team fights his own battle in stage 1.

We have tried to take some partial success, but our best results were 6th (Eeckhout) and 8th (Maes) in last stage. We simply weren´t strong enough.

Luciano Pagliarini, new face in FdJ, takes his 2nd victory, whilst Nico and Nicolas sprint as 6th and 8th.

Pagliarini won 2 stages, sprinter jersey, but it secured him 2nd place overall only.

Wouter Weylandt, another fresh blood (Garmin) and winner of stage 2, hold closely his yellow jersey until end.

Wouter Weylandt celebrates his first win in Garmin colours.

Well, Tour of Qatar showed me that this season could be very difficult for me. I want to join as much races as possible, but have minimal chances (or even smaller) to succeed with riders in non-TOP condition. Now this group will remove to Malaysia, where we´ll participate in Tour de Langkawi. Hope in some podium places in sprints and TOP10 overall with Deignan. Second group is riding in France (Etoile de Besseges), remaining riders (youngsters + Millar) will open season later.

Not so bad. In extreme, whitout an elite sprinter, you can't dream.
Continue your story, it's my favourite, I have vote for you.
