Guess they did an in-race TTT training session and were caught too late ^^
A shame Pieren does nothing but finishing on the last few spots day after day, without any apparent reason (Cofidis don't even have a serious sprint contender). First RTG year is a year to fast-forward and forget I guess. Hopefully number 2 will be slightly better, but with a complete lack of results the off-season development won't be enough to make a difference, I'm afraid.

Was a slight uphill finish and Ineos were pulling in the final kilometers to put Pidcock into place. Got a gap and no one could close it down!

Have some plans for the riders becoming more competitive over the next couple of seasons. Hopefully, they'll be able to contribute more.

Just don't know why he's always that bad; I guess there should be several riders with clearly worse stats in the peloton, especially in hilly/mountainous stages... but well, I always knew it would take some years to get to a competitive level. Which I'm fine with, just disappointed Pieren is complete crap so far.

That's hilarious, why are there so many intermediate sprints on Stage 1? And knowing that, why did only two people join the breakaway?
