Nerz is dropping guys like Karpets, Scarponi is at the end of the group too...
Both have been in breaks all race, so that's not surprising.

Don't understand why Basso didn't take over with 2-3 km to go and go full gas then Nibali attack last 500 meters + downhill. |

Typical tour. Riders are more eager to defend their top 10 spot instead of trying to attack for top 5 or higher. I would imagine noone will even attack on the next climb but wait for that final small climb. |

Valverde looks like the stage winner to me.
Hopefully Basso will set a high pace on Peyresourde and then leave it to Nibali with three kilometers left. I fear that they'll be waiting for the final short climb though, which would suck.

Yes, but there is no flat section between them and Nibali is the best downhiller and among the best climbers in the tour. |

I think he will up te Peyresourde before the descent and then climb to Peyragudes. That is the sort of thing that could get Nibali the stage win.

But that descent is really short? this one is loooong :s but yeah, guess he has given up yellow and will play it a bit safer. Can't really blame him, atleast he has tried =) |

Not quite sure why Nibbles isn't trying to go on the attack here.
The climbs are where you could put Wiggins in pressure, start the climb with a gap and who knows...
Oh well, I guess the next climb is all or nothing.

Nibali wants the stage win today, pretty much conceded yellow to Wiggins after yesterday. I doubt attacking now will help him to get stage win.
