Brave ride from Grmay! That was a great stage in terms of the GC battle with big riders making early moves. Spilak looks to have it wrapped up now but Phinney made it exciting for a minute there. Im just happy with the 4th place looking comfortable for Amador by gaining time on Taaramae and the podium from Kung.

Looks like Tenorio will be fully recovered for sprint in Champ Elysées. Better late than never..

Scarponi actually solid right now, and 'Topyanchuk' good too today. Shame Golovash went out though, but Vanderbiest is still here for a final day stage win. Funny he is ahead of decent climber Nitu in the GC though...

This is getting back to really poor from Keinath. Why should he be so tired after his breakaway, when Slagter and Grmay are clearly not so affected. In definite trouble now. My team has done well in GTs this year certainly, but all my leaders seem to be riding with a worse recovery stat than they ought to.
Good to see stages with action from the start, from a neutral perspective, but the AI just doesn't seem willing to let the race stay at full on for the entire stage.
A shame Tenorio couldn't pull off the win, but Taaramae had to prove himself some time. Phinney fighting hard against Spilak, could certainly be tight after the TT if there aren't gaps in the final mountain stage.

I'll take KoM points over a GC place with Grmay, but I'll admit that holding onto that Top 10 place is nice. Expecting to lose it come the TT, though.

Thats better from Wellens climbing to 8th he should defend that easy and with a little little chance to climb up to 7th.
Great teamperformamce aswell, 4 guys top 50 atleast and Lövkvist in top 25.
Nice seeing Rein perform, congrats Heine! |

Too bad Spilak couldn't crack Phinney. I really fear that it won't be enough, but PCM AI doesn't give a fuck about time gaps, so at this point we can't do anything but hope 1'30" will be enough. I doubt it, though...
2nd is good, and our team recovered well. Had Vasyliv been here we would have won the Team GC. So that's unfortunate. Instead we can be happy that there is a good chance of Spilak ending in 2nd in points and 4th in KOM.

I like that the team is so protective of Gesink, but he is not in yellow or anything, go take your own chances. The team rankings seems to still be in our reach which is great.
Gesink is nowhere near his Vuelta form of last year. From actually beating Pluchkin in some mountain stages to losing time in every important stage either hilly or mountainous.
But the worst thing out of this TdF is that Brambilla won't be able to complete his top 20 challenge

So Haig joins an early break and drops even further in the GC I seriously hate the TdF!

Huge stage for my team there! Guldhammer and Nesset both punching well above their weight is just brilliant, and it also means we're back to 6th overall with Guldhammer. Hopefully he can defend against Yates and preferably gain even more on the final mountain stage.
And what a stage that was, and also very well reported on. Thank you, Aquarius97!
Intriguing fights going on both for the overall win and for the final podium. Taaramäe seems to be back at his best, which means I'd fear that final mountain stage if I was Gesink and Amador. It definitely has the potential to be an epic one |

Not a good stage for Koch. Hope he can still overtake Lutsenko at least.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Could have been a lot worse with Dekker being dropped earlier.
Happy he recovered mid stage and made it back to defend the 12th. Probably with a chance to get 11th. Too less pre race but probably not too bad seeing him crashing multiple times. At least giving me a balanced GT triple this year with sprint wins in all 3 and GC`s around 10th in all three.
Losing Van der Sanden might actually work out well if the game now allows Sbaragli to sprint on the Champs Elysees. |

Great Tour de France Aquarius. I suppose Amador will finish worst of the best in 5th by the end of things, but he definitely doesn't deserve to beat Taaramae with how dominant Rein has been this race. It looked like he was going to destroy everyone today as well. Its a shame he crashed.

Much better from Keinath, to secure a Top 10 overall result, with 9th still possible and perhaps likely - although no guarantee with his recent TT performances.
Spilak finally unleashes his full strength to dispatch Phinney and even beat Taaramae. A Grand Tour win in Festina colours being long overdue for him. While Taaramae deserves the podium, I hope Gesink holds on - as it would be a great addition to his MG palmares.
Kuroeda clings on to make it 4 finishers for us. Should of course have been 6, with the frustrating crashes having denied either Kirsch or Frank Schleck from completing the GT triple this season.
Grmay brings a fantastic result for African cycling with the KoM jersey. A Top 10 would have been overly fortunate, but even so, fantastic value for a 55k Free Agent wage - if only Haute could earn some points of it.
Thanks for the report again Aquarius, great coverage of the Alpe stage. Particularly appreciated the gap screenshots for tracking Keinath as he slipped back, but clung on for what he needed.

It's a shame Haig can't benefit from his breakaway attempts now.. it's at least a sign of attacking attitude, but it's rather frustrating to not get any points out of those attempts.. 2nd in U25 is at least something, even though those 33 (!) minutes on Yates do hurt.

Phinney is such a legend I can't remember the last time he didn't race at least to his stats and more often then not above them he's a God and 2nd place to an amazing rider like Spilak is no shame at all. Big congrats to Sotd finally getting the TDF win his team deserves well done |
