For someone as talented as Andy Schleck he could've won way more in his career so far. |

I seem to remember a story just before the Tour de France. Andy himself said to the media that he had been training hard on TTs and was definately showing signs of improving. Suddenly his trainer goes out to the media and says the exact opposite: he could barely get Andy on the time trial bike at all.
Am I remembering this correctly?
Anyway, Andy had the chance of a lifetime last year to win; the route was perfect, several strong riders crashed out and had to abandon and Contador had allready raced the Giro! |

I also liked the part where Andy said that this year's Tour route fits them well, just because "At the 2011 Tour there wasn't much timetrialling, yet I ended up losing by one and a half minute. In 2010, there was a lot of timetrialling, yet I only lost it by 39 seconds."
How logic

It sounds like a joke, but it's the honest to god truth: he's an elite stage racer who's never won a stage race.

That's exactly it. His trainer was Julich.

I saw a documentary about Andy and was somewhat surprised when I saw the video from one of his TT-sessions. I have never seen a man looking so miserable while doing something he is supposed to enjoy! He looked like he'd give everything in the world just to quit his TT-traning session. |

Project 1t4i, Topsport Vlaanderen, Willems-Accent and Landbouwkrediet get the first 4/6 wildcards for the Amstel Gold Race. The last two will be announced later in the season. |

I really hope Europcar gets an invite. Voeckler could make things interesting.

Remember how Gianetti was in contact with the Venezulean government? It turns out that they were interested in cycling - just not with Gianetti.
Instead, they have become a sponsor of the Androni team.

And in other news - my new favourite picture of Vino...

Makes sense really. Why would Venezuela invest in Geox, when Rujano and other top Venezuelans already ride for Androni

In Orthodox Christian church, a day before St. John's ( which is today, on 20th of January) is the day called The Answering of God (rough translation would be something like Epiphany, 19th of February). The custom amongst many Orthodox Christians is that, on that day, one takes a swim in the river to re-enact the moment of Jesus's baptism.
