4 stages. 1 9 mile TT with a 3 mile climb. 2 RR's (1 55 miles the second 48) and a short 3.8 mile TT. The race is held just outside of Yosemite National Park so it is at altitude and, as I did it last year I can attest to the amount to climbing that happens. Last season I was 7th overall.

I have road rash on my legs, hands, arms and after sliding 15 feet on my head i also have a gash in my forehead. oh ,and a broken collarbone.

damn with the collarbone sorry to hear mate, get better soon, and make sure you keep turning the pedals on rollers at least as soon as you can. Best of luck, and wish you a speedy recovery.

thanks. What was cool was talking to Tony Cruz. My coach is in Michigan with BmC who are racing Leelanau. She told me to call if i made it onto the podium. I told her that I got 6th and crashed in the 4's and she happened to be driving with the boys. Cruz recently broke his collarbone and is already back racin.

Bad about that collarbone, when do you expect to be riding again?

Dropped at my first chaingang after 27km out of 60.... the speed was just not sustainable 34km/h average) the power isn't physically there in the big ring yet. Turned onto a big headwind section, I wasn't right on the wheel so said bye bye! Oh well, still a good workout. |

Keep trying them, i know my first year i was dropped every chain gang, even before they started going really hard. It was just a steady stick with each one a little longer, and now i'm the one shredding it up with the elites

The first 3 years approximately that you start to ride, the improvement curve is gigantic. you'll get a heck of a lot better in that period just through practice.
so keep at it |
