Haedo's always had tremendous speed. Now it's obvious he can finally finish Grand Tour stages with enough energy to sprint.
But it looks like he has no confidence. He just follows wheels because he's too afraid to go from a longer distance, and as a results, gets himself boxed in.
We've all seen how dangerous Greipel became once he gained confidence. The question is whether Haedo can get the same confidence. If he can...look out, top sprinter.
Then again, that's a fairly common problem. Some guys have all the talent to be elite sprinters, but never get the confidence (like Chicchi).

LA has decided not to speak to press anymore
So, now, we'll maybe have less about Armstrong, Armstrong, Armstrong,... on CN and more about the race
BTW, is it Monday yet ?

Indeed. There goes the 20" bonifications. (ok, not sure, but seems like it'll be him)

Cavendish has pulled out of the Giro according to a statement from Columbia. They also say that they now will do the sprints for Boasson Hagen because of his position in the points classification.
Honestly, I doubt Boasson's chances in a mass sprint, but I hope I'm wrong, he surely has the power to win a mass sprint, but I think he is a bit afraid about sprinting against 15 topclass sprinters in a big peloton... |

But hopefully he will pick up points on intermediate sprints, and gain points on Di Luca in the mass sprints, even if he doesn't win the stages. he can also finish with the pack in tougher stages than Petacchi

There will be no more mass sprints in this Giro. Which is why Cavendish retired.

no reasons then for him to continue. No mass sprint, far in the ciclamino jersey rankings, nothing to fight for.

Maybe stage 18? And stage 20 suits Boasson quite good, but it's not going to be a big mass sprint, probably a puncher's stage. But I do think at least stage 18 is a sprint finish.. |

Go Menchov. Menchov is long over due for another Grand Tour success . On the way he is riding in the Giro I would pick him as one favourites for the Tour. Fingers crossed. |

Cipo!
It'd be nice to see Garzelli do something tomorrow, Di Luca will probably take it though |

It's a stage where Di Luca could get back some time...
