Yes, his grand total of zero points has been a major factor in his renewal, I'm sure.
Edit: Ah, too slow.

Apparently they like him...
They say he's a good teammate and leadout man (!)

Definately no WT quality signings...

Agreed. Especially Petrov, who's pretty old as well.
And unless I'm mistaken, none of them have a lot of points either.

Petrov, originally Mr Tinkov's team leader at Tinkoff in 07. Can't forget his excellent Giro performance!
I exclaimed in delight at the reunion. If it wasn't for certain riders, I'd quite like the team!

Duggan's a nat champ, so that's a few right there.

Saxo Bank and/or Tinkoff has commercial interests in Japan ? Or the team has a minor Japanese sponsor ? |

Evan Huffman ---> Astana
He is the US U23 time-trial champion, and he has signed a two year contract with Astana. |

Gianni Meersman leaves Lotto-Belisol over WorldTour uncertainty. Team he chose is unknow yet.

In other words, other team has offered him much bigger pay-check.

My guess is BMC. They could need someone like him covering the races Gilbert isn`t riding. |

I guess Greg Van Avermaet woudln't be greatly happy with what you said here
But tbh it could be any of the top teams. BMC, Sky, OPQS or RSNT ( Meersman was very close with signing with them last year as well ).

Could also be Katusha. Just like BMC, that would be a rather decent fit for him I think.
Sad to see him leave Lotto though.

A big loss for Lotto. Wonder what team he'll go to, though, and what his role will be throughout the year! |

I think they have space for 1 more rider.
