Answer to Bonus Question: Will a former winner win again? is No.
The season of surprising winner continue as Nibali got away on the Poggio and held off the pack to take the first win for him and Italy's first win since 2006 in this race. Ewan won the bunch sprint ahead of Demare, which completed the podium. This being Nibali's first win in this race, the answer to the bonus question was No.
Both Nibali and Ewan had just one pick among our members. Only Selwink gets points for Nibali's win, while Croatia alone gets rewarded for choosing Ewan. Five members picked Demare to be on the podium and get third place points for the same. Remember that points are double for podium positions in this race, a Monument. All but two predictors correctly believed that we will have a new winner this year and they pick up points for the bonus question, Hillis and Jandal being the unlucky ones.
Selwink picks up the win with his pick of Nibali and correctly guessing the bonus question. Croatia is second. Four members, who picked Demare and also got the bonus question right, tie for third. Jandal is the only one to not score in this race. The streak of near zero scores across the board is broken finally!

df_Trek still leads from Aquarius by 5 points but Selwink makes a massive jump up to tied 2nd spot. Nine members, starting from 4th position, are separated by just 15 points. Jandal's poor run continues as he drops to last among our regulars.
