Cyclo - cross
Valor
in czech cycling magazine called "Peloton" there was an article about money in cyclocross and they said Sven Nys wants 10.000€ as start money.

Organisators or race in Olomouc wanted to get Nys, Wellens, Vervecken and so on. They didn't got them. I think it was because of money. Even they had more than €40.000, they got 'only' S. Vanthourenhout, Verstraeten and Pauwels. It's irony they didn't get Stybar and Simunek, they got 'only' Dlask, Bina, Zlamalik, an so on. They invited riders from Haiti (I wonder why). They said they would come, but they didn't.
They wanted 190,- (thats €7,5) for entrance, although in czech rep cyclocross is always free. In final there were about 1500 spectators. Of course they managed to get some sponsors, but there were only few of them. I think they lost money on that (about €15.000)

Jeremy Powers is sitting pretty in 5th in the UCI rankings.

He's barely even 5th best rider in the US let alone the world!!!

Day after tomorrow i'll be there - Tábor. My tips for winners: Juniors - Hník or Eising; U23: Meeusen or Kloucek; Women: Van den Brand or Kupfernagel; Elite: hardly to say (Nys or someone else)

Xavier
Valor his friend Bina is doing well so far

ruben
Boom still not in shape. Seems to have problems with his back...

Xavier
1. Albert
2. Stybar
3. Bina
4. Nys
5. Wellens
6. Pauwels
7. Simunek
8. Mourey
9. Boom

Valor
Boom looked impressive in first half of the race as did Simunek, but when Albert accelerated they seem to have no fuel left in their tanks. I knew Bina would do good, but nobody trusted me (even czechs).
I was also impressed by Eising and Walsleben. Eising was riding another race than the others. And Walsleben is simply good.

Damn! I betted so much on Stybar...

Smoothie
I beat a lot too.

Any videos of the race? Would like to see some action.

Yeah Tijmen Eising will pretty much dominate the juniors this year. It's good we have him because boom will go to road Sad
