Gg. Well neither team would have posed a threat to Germany
Its going to be a different game anyway, Argentina aren't (hopefully) going to go all out attack like Brazil and I'll think that it is going to be a very close final, possibly a late goal in the 90 mins that will settle it
John St Ledger in Team Bunzl-Centrica and Team U25
Considering I really was in toilet and I really missed 4 goals by being in toilet yesterday, this is a perfect meme for me and tonights game (NED - ARG).
Holland have been absoloute poor ever since Spain game. I mean we know for a fact final will be boring with them look at 2010 they took anti football to a new level that final. I think Argentina can do it they have not impressed me but they have 2 of best players on pitch so anything can happen.
I would rather Holland have won the whole thing but they would have been a boring match up imo. Also i no pens are a lottery and the dutch goalie did not miss a pen but come on he was awful. I think Krul could have saved 2 at least. I no it is easy saying after the fact but Krul is just bigger, dutch goalie was skinny as hell.
Also VanGaal said 2 Hol players refused first pen, i bet Sneijder or Robben refused first pen, may have even been both of them, i just knew Vlaar would miss. Also really hope Van Gaal ditches 3 cbk for Man Utd.

Van Gaal and Sabella's life-sucking routines have nearly put paid to this World Cup, but not quite.

Anyway, Argentina showing us you can play nothing the entire tournament and still reach the final
If never being behind is playing nothing, I really hope the teams I cheer for would play nothing all the time Besides, it's the World Cup with its terrible format (6 games to get to the final...). With a bit of luck you can play against no decent team up until the quarter-finals. Definitely not impossible to play nothing the entire tournament and still get to the final.

Like Germany in 2002?
Saudia Arabia, Ireland, Cameroon, USA, Paraguay, South Korea -> Brazil.

Must have been a very hard way to the finals.
Well, Germany had to advance against the best team of the tournament. Individually the players were probably among the worse ones, but as a team they played brilliantly, all 14 of them

yes because we had so much luck with the refs against spain and australia (2 penalties that never should have been given)
oh well, haters gonna hate
Luck =/= referee helping (at least no completely). You had luck in knockout stage and I don't know what's wrong with that. Of course, guys played well, but still...
And yes, you were so right, I hate Netherlands so much! Look, I do have million reasons to hate you! Fuck Oranges...no. Just being realistic.

Well, Dutchie luck streak had to stop once. Nice that it stopped by another (more or less) luck-thing, penalties.

how else could you explain a team of RVP and Robben and a bunch of eredivisie players (think you said that here, but can't find that exact post) can get to the semi-final.
About the Dutch team: I believe scoring twice - one of them being in a very dubious penalty - when being 7 minutes away from elimination is rather lucky. Not to mention that Mexico was better in the 1st half but felt to the 'underdog status' and played only defense in the 2nd half time, giving the Netherlands the chance they needed. Then drawing Costa Rica in the quarter finals, arguably the most surprising team (and thus maybe the weakest/less experienced) among those 8 ones, is also rather lucky.
But well, as you say, haters gonna hate and losers gonna play the much valuable 3rd place playoff
