Quick ranking update before the final stage! Abhishek does very well to increase his lead with a nice stage 19 win and predicting six riders correctly, most of all McNulty's 60 points helping him towards a nice score there. Together with Ulrich, who was clearly the best on stage 20 with a great Harper prediction, it's clear that those two are the winners of the two mountain stages that just went by! And we also see that in the rankings below.

The times that Abhishek was chilling with me at the bottom of the table are far from over, as he increases his lead on basically everyone again. Ulrich jumps from ninth to second because of Harper and the gang, and below it's still very close as well form places three to nine. My 'hoping for the breakaway' did help me in creeping a bit closer to the rest, but I'm still far from home. Good luck to everyone for the very last time already!
Game, set and match! Visma won the final stage as well as the GC, and we are nearing to the finish of this game as well. In this update you get the ranking with the final stage included, as well as the bonus questions. Soon the classifications and captain points will follow.

Numbers 1, 2 and 4 were predicted by everyone, and number three Moschetti also by six out of ten managers. The big points scorers here are Lamperti (60 points for our final stage winner Ollfardh), and 40 Baroncini points for ember. Kanter gave six people eight points, whereas Aular and Zanoncello delivered ten points each to a handful of managers. Lonardi with five points for ember and alexkr00, who have somehow been related with similar standings and picks since the beginning Congratulations to Ollfardh on winning the final stage! Viva Belgica!

And while I'm in the mood for congratulating, congratulations Abhishek on being the best predictor of all stages! Obviously that one gigantic stage win with the sole predictor of 1-2-3 was massive, but in general a nice three weeks of picking names. Congratulations to all of you in fact for writing down 210 stage names! (200 for a not to be named American friend).
The rest of the rankings (not counting the red lantern) are so so close. We even have a tie for place two with Ollfardh and Ulrich, but ninth place seancoll is only 57 points below these two. The bonus question points could thus immediately give us some changes.
First: the correct answers to the bonus questions.
1) What team will have the most stage wins? Lidl - Trek
2) What rider will be part of the first breakaway of the Giro? Tonelli, Tarozzi, Moniquet, Verre, Van der Hoorn
3) What rider will lead the U25 classification during the second rest day (after stage 9)? Del Toro
4) What team will win the team’s classification? UAE
5) On which stage will there be the biggest time gap between the first and second place finishers? Stage 20
6) What rider will win back-to-back stages? (Write no rider or sth if you think it won’t happen) No rider
7) How many stages will be won by an Italian rider? One stage
8) Will the final Giro podium (Top 3 overall) include a rider who has never before podiumed at a Grand Tour? Yes - Del Toro
9) Will there be a stage where the peloton finishes more than 12 minutes behind the breakaway winner? Yes - Stage 18
10) Will someone get Zabel’d for any stage victory? No

With only the classifications and captain points left, Abhishek remains in the lead. Most of the peloton coming closer though, but ovbiously also still big points to win. Alex and Laurens with a little dive after their two correct answers, still everything to play for of course.
Next update will come in the following days, I hope.
A good final day for us, the last rankings put me dead last (except for our gracious host, who does his best not to make anyone feel like a loser), so I'm happy we can still climb to second place for now. Not sure if I can hold on to the podium though, I recall I mentioned Ayuso, Landa and Ciccone quite a few times.
Penultimate update! Secondary classifications and captain points.

A story that we'll see in other classifications as well, less successes than hoped/thought. Definitely because of the big GC guys falling out as well. Three people predicted Fortunato, giving 83 points each as winner of the KoM. Alex, ember and kandesbunzler therefore second, third, and fourth. Alex scoring 125 points with Harper helping for second as well, but in the end one point shy from the win here. This is thanks to Scaroni's 225 points going to me. Carapaz, Bardet, Del Toro and Bilbao with minor points to several managers then, as nobody predicted numbers 3, 4 and 5 of the KoM.
As can be seen, difference between number one and ten over 200 points, so expect some changes in our final (penultimate) ranking update!

Everything a bit closer together here, with the top-3 being predicted by most people actually. Groves also a very popular pick, but it's Van Uden's 50 points launching Ulrich and knockout to one and two here. Nice fifty Carapaz points for kandesbunzler as well there.

Bigger difference again between first and last here, with Abhishek not doing great with an 8th, 10th and 10th place in the secondary classifications. Five people predicting the entire U-25 top-5 correctly, but ember's great prediction of Svestad-Bardseng nets him another 125 points.
Tiberi did give 15 points to myself and alex, good for some extra captain points. Nevertheless, no other points by Ayuso, Roglic (both DNF) and Pidcock (no top 10's in classifications) means that the final extra captain points are way lower than what I would have expected before the start of the game.

ember and alex in one and two, bringing us back to right where we started this Giro! One update remaining, but it's of course the one where biggest points (at least for one classification/stage) can still be won.
Very surprised to see me lead this going into the final update. Seeing my absolute horror show for the GC picks, I can’t imagine holding on to the lead
We'll start with the six lowest scoring managers GC wise.

Knockout and alexkr00 are among the biggest victims of the big GC massacre in the Giro. No 'certainties' such as Ayuso, Roglic and Tiberi in the top-10, make it so that they only have one rider correct. For both it's Simon Yates, scoring 71 points per manager, as in total 7 managers selected him. Abhishek also adds 57 Carapar points to this (7 selections in total as well for the Ecuadorian), to score 128 points in the GC.
Kandesbunzler26 and seancoll didn't select winner Yates, but have Carapaz in their team. They are two out of five managers scoring 70 Gee points, and two out of four managers scoring 12 Storer points. 139 points for both of them. Ulrich then with the Carapaz and Gee points as well, adding 40 Bernal points (1 out of five to have selected him), making it 167 in total.
So, with six out of ten manager's points in, the rankings look like this.

Ollfardh takes the win! He did very well to take second in the 21 stages, lost a bit of points towards the others in the secondary classifications and bonus questions, but comes back with a Mexican bang to win the game! Congratulations!
Also congratulations to ember and alexkr00 for the other podium spots. They started the game together at the top, dropped a bit around the middle of the game, but definitely also finished rather strong, consolidating those podium places.
Ulrich finishes fourth, 30 points behind the podium, so the question will for ever be whether he would have scored those points in the one stage he missed. Just below him I find myself, my stage guessing was rubbish, but the classifications were decent at least.
Kandesbunzler in sixth. Solid game for him I think, some very bad rounds, but also several stage wins with very big scoring. Abhishek on the other hand obviously amazing during the stages, but dropping to seventh because of the classifications.
Seancoll, Laurens and knockout then all with decent stage guesses, but the classifications not working out according to plan sadly.
Mandatory line obviously incoming: spot a mistake, tell me!
Thanks for playing. Was a nice experience and try-out as organizer, and hopefully we can do this again for the Tour!
Expected last at the start, finished exactly there too. Might have been different if i had spend more time than the absolute minimum on those classification picks but then i also assume to be the least knowledgable participant so im fine with it.
Thanks a lot for organizing, was enjoying this far more than i expected and gave me reason to follow the giro more than at any other point of the last decade. Very likely would participate again if you host it for future GTs.
Wow, I didn't realise I was the only one who picked Del Toro. I thought he could grab an easy top 10 in support of Ayuso, kinda like how McNulty did it now. In the end, I was the only one to get the podium right, so I'll take the win.
Thanks for organising Nemo, hope to see this again in a few weeks!
