Some changes in the team this year, Natnael Berhane left for Øster Hus.
Two young riders signed. One who were a trainee last year Steven Beauvais and the other who joined us in October Nathaniel Gaudreault.
The team also recruit a confirm rider coming from the french team Sojasun, he is Julien Simon.

In one week, we will all go to Italy for a training camp.
During this training camp, I will plan my season with the coach to peak at the right time for the right races.
It will also be the occasion to integrate the new riders in the team.
I will try to give you some picture of our training on the Italian' Roads

Selwink
Nice team for the next season, Simon will definately get you some wins

Training Camp in Italy

This training camp was just amazing, everyone were cool and friendly, Steven is one of my best friend now, he is so good on a bike, he can do everything, he is good on the flat, the cobbles, when it goes uphill he is good too. I think he will be one of the greatest rider in a few years.

During this training camp we had the chance to ride on the last kilometers of Milano - Sanremo.

Here we are next to the see with an wonderful weather. (it was very cold)

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/A%20French%20Rising%20Hope/2014/Training%20Camp/PCM0002_zpsf2c605c1.jpg
We climbed La Cipressa ...

... and the Poggio
.

Like last year, we had a day dedicated to cobblestones. It was not the best day in term of weather but in term of racing I preferred this day.

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/A%20French%20Rising%20Hope/2014/Training%20Camp/PCM0004_zps81ecacea.jpg
In the beginning, the weather was just threatening

And then the rain came.

And more rain here, we had mud everywhere on our clothes.

I am a bit busy now with all the agitation about the flight so I might post my program later.
Steven asked me to tell you that he might post here about his important results sometimes.

See you Wink

A little Information

During the week in Italy, I talked with the coach about my program this season. I'm sure about the races from February to May, after May I've got some possibilities. I'll talk about it later.

My program is quite like last year, and I'm happy with that because it will be races I know and this means I will be important in the team to get or to help getting wins.

My main goal is to finally win the Tour de Bretagne and one cobbled classic.

About the World TOUR Races, I will be part of the team for E3 Prijs Vlaanderen - Harelbeck and Paris - Roubaix. I might be part of the squad for Milano - Sanremo if the team is invited and if my shape is looking good.

I also discussed about the renewal of my contract with the team with at list the role of a luxury team-mate. They'll see with my results for the first part of the season if they keep me or not.

Here is my program from February to May.

1-Feb6-Feb2.1Etoile de Bessèges
15-Feb19-Feb2.1Volta ao Algarve
25-Feb---1.HCOmloop Het Nieuwsblad
26-Feb---1.1Kuurne - Bruxelles - Kuurne
28-Feb---1.1Le Samyn
9-Mar---1.1Ronde van Drenthe
14-Mar---1.1Nokere Koerse
21-Mar---1.HCDwars door Vlaanderen
23-Mar---WTE3 Prijs Vlaanderen - Harelbeck
27-Mar30-Mar2.1VDK-Driagaagse de Panne-Koksijde
3-Apr6-Apr2.1Circuit Sarthe - Pays de la Loire
8-Apr---WTParis - Roubaix
11-Apr---1.HCDe Brabantse Pijl
24-Apr30-Apr2.2Tour de Bretagne
2-May6-May2.HC5 Jours de Dunkerque

That's it for now, I will start in the Etoile de Bessèges.
See you Wink

No Gent-Wevelgem and Ronde van Vlaanderen this year? Shame, you could handle them I think.

It's good you have at least an invitation for P-R and E3 Wink

Great program for Mark! I'm sure they'll renew his contract!

I know it's a little late but why would the manager reject being promoted?

So that they dont have to race races they dont want to race like the Tour Down Under, Volta a Catalunya etc.

Selwink: The team has too many riders good on the cobbles that I am obligated to divide in two groups this riders and it's a way to make new things in the future season

TomC: Thanks Grin

sutty68: He will indeed Wink

Ian Butler: Don't be so sure Wink everything could happen

Cycleman123: As Selwink said, to avoid being part in races like the Tour Down Under, Volta a Catalunya etc. and also to concentrate on only one or two GT. 21 days of racing is not negligible for 9 riders.
And Team Europcar and Jean-René Bernaudeau always refused being part of World Tour.

Race Report : Etoile de Bessèges

During this break I mainly ride in the North of France where the temperatures were not above zero, for this race the temperature reached 5 so it's good for me. I won two cyclo-cross races during the winter, the first one was going through some cobbled section of Paris - Roubaix and the second was more like Mountain Bike.
But now let start the race!

Stage 01

i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y382/Axel_Choteau/A%20French%20Rising%20Hope/2014/Etoile%20de%20Besseges/PCM0001_zps2c967589.jpg

Not much to say about that stage, we tried to get a guy in the breakaway and we failed, we let Orica - GreenEdge took the control of the race and in the end Julien ended 6th. Michael Matthews (Orica - GreenEdge) won the stage here.

Same as last stage, we tried to get a guy in the breakaway and we failed and this time despite some tries during the last uphill section, the victory was fight in a mass sprint. Francisco José Ventoso (Movistar Team) won the stage and Julien took the 3rd position.
