This screen looks interesting. The house on the right of the road doesn't look like a city (otherwise it would have some sort of ground) but does have a wall. And the houses on the top right, near the x kms to go banner also seem to be this way. Could be useful for the smaller cities (I dislike cities with 2 houses and all those city stuff - pavement, etc).

Did I really just read on Cya's forum that the profile can be zoomed in? Right now that the slope colors are gone?
That's the only thing I am concerned with the profiles now, it looks good but it doesn't provide you with gradients, hope as you said that it can be zoomed in and gradients seen.

Well, I like how the stage profiles are shown now. |

Well that's actually the contrary of what I said (actually of what I kinda quoted):

Les profils sont très jolis mais trompeurs, surtout si on ne peut pas zoomer : les côtes paraissent toutes plus impressionnantes qu'elles ne le sont vraiment et il faut alors se reporter à la catégorie du col pour en évaluer sa difficulté puisqu'il n'y a plus le orange/rouge pour voir la pente
On peut pas zoomer et c'est bien dommage mais sa apporte une difficulté supplémentaire
At least that's what the translator gave, if someone can correct me it would be good (=if I haven't understood it right and it actually is possible to zoom)

You wrote "can" instead of "can't"

It says that you can't zoom in the profile, yup, but you said that you can.
It was obviously a typo though, it was clear in the context.

Okay my French may not be the best but from what I understood, it says that you can't zoom in on the profiles, and they also appear more difficult than they actually are, so you basically have to rely on the category of the climb to figure how difficult a climb in fact is.

Yay. Add something fancy, but combine something annoying with it.
I guess the second patch at the latest will enable zooming in.

Ups, small typo indeed.

Let's hope so. The thing I've actually liked from the new graphics (and nearly the whole game) is also bugged

Quite frustrating indeed, but nothing new from Cyanide.
But without slope colours, zooming in is pretty much necessary to anticipate the racing.
Especially considering it worked absolutely fine so far, I don't know what prevented them from including it.
It shouldn't be a big deal to apply the basics for zooming to the new profiles after all?

Well, it could be a pos thing that you don't know the slopes. Maybe stage recon has more effects that way. Or maybe you just gotta be able to guess every hill.
It'll probably bug everyone in the beginning but it could turn into something nice, maybe. |

I think it sounds pretty good, you cant see the profiles and you have option to do a recon of the stage, i like it (if it will be functional in a good way). I like it better than knowing each metre of the slope.
