We have word now that the break has crested the Rocabruna ascent ahead of the peloton, but its lead has now dropped to 40 seconds. Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) led the chase over the category 1 KOM.

Low fog so we've had to fly so close to the peloton we can almost touch those POC helmets. But it's Tinkoff on the front now with the gap to the leaders at 1'10.

Yeah, one would have thought that the organizers know the risks of such a stage in March, or at least that they would have a way of securing coverage. Definitely a low-point of Volta's history. 
Hoping there'll be some coverage at least later on.

Doing these kind of stages in March is pure stupidity, even more when one can see that weather seems more and more unpredictable recently.
It was two years ago, when the race was just a joke?

I know, the amateurism is just unbearable. Especially since it's World Tour, the TV-coverage is horrible and I expect more from a World Tour race. |

That was on the flat. No chance they can broadcast climb in such a weather. Surprise, surprise, weather is shit above 1000metres in March.
