Sucks for Van Hummel (?). Perfectly placed, and bang goes the chain.

Greipel would have won this - if not the crash early on and the injury he sustained.
Still great sprint by Sagan.

Okay, well that was a pure sprint, nothing tricky, nothing fancy, and he is faster than Goss and Greipel. I think its time to start giving him 81ish sprint, 83ish accel.

Sagan trying to be the hulk
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to cycle and he will realize fishing is stupid and boring.

Greipel actually didn`t even want to sprint after his crash. Obviously he at least wanted to try but surely wasn`t at 100% today. |

They have been closer and more varied than they have in the previous 2 years. This year the sprints are far more interesting than the GC is likely to be IMO.

We can play an endless "What if?" on this stage. But maybe we shouldn't.

I wonder to what extent that was forced. "So, lots of your competitiors are behind, you only really need to beat Goss and Sagan. Have a go"

So, GreenEdge pulls the peloton like they were possessed and then Goss fails. Again. Awesome.
