Well it looks like the break will win.

The railway crossing closed over the peloton, so about 15 riders at the front of the peloton made it across and everyone else had to wait for the train to pass. They were all Movistar riders riding for Costa at the front and a few GreenEdge. They didn't sit up until a few minutes later after arguing with comissiares. The breaks advantage went up a lot so they'll probably win now.

Barrier allready going down, red light on, commissaire on the middle of the street waving to stop the riders...
Movistar, Greenedge and a handfull other riders ignoring all signals going over the level crossing. The rest of the field stopped.
"2.3.034 Level Crossings
It shall be strictly forbidden to cross level crossings when the barrier is down. Apart from risking the penalty for such an offence as provided by law, offending riders shall be eliminated from the competition by the commissaires."
Thats why you always should go on when in a break and never give up. Racing incidents can always happen.  |

The break should've been stopped for the same time that peleton waited for train to pass.

8 minute gap with 40km to go, good chasing in the peloton. But there's only two riders so that explains it.
