I found out the screens sucks because I found out that spectators arent shown in great numbers when I play replays of the race, which is where I also take screenshots, will take them in-race from now on..

Reading this - very enjoyable, by the way! - it appears that PCM09 is far more realistic then PCM08.
Do you think that this is the case?

Considering how realistic it is, I almost want to see everybody's stats. Awesome story.

Stage 8 - Andorre-la-Vieille - Saint-Girons
Today we start out from Andorra la Vieille where we ended yesterdays hectic stage.
Today, we will be passing 3 mountains, with the first 23 kilometres being straight up into the air.
As todays stage is alot of downhill, and the last 35 being aswell, favorites are guys like Luis Leon Sanchez, Kirchen, Freire, Rojas and maybe Hushovd.
But today, we will not be messing around, Contador needs to be attacked, we HAVE to see how he responds to an attack, the attack will be set-up on the last mountain of the stage, the Col d'Agnes.
Right at the beginning of the stage, 10 riders take off, they are: Chavanel, B. Feillu, Kern, Ballan, Vandborg, Pozzato, Wegelius, Joly, Geschke and Verdugo.
On the first climb there is no real action from the peloton, Astana leads in a moderate tempo and at the top 131 riders are still in the peloton.
On the downhill the breakaway is already caught and the peloton is almost whole again.
On the next climb, we start taking action into our own hands, we start pulling at a higher pace, but still only with our secondary helpers in the mountains, O'Grady and Arvesen. At the top of the 2nd climb, 10 riders are still together.
Right as we reach the start of Col d'Agnes, Søensen, Sørensen, Voigt, Larsson and Cancellara all work together setting an extremely high pace, to set up the Schlecks. People are dropped from the peloton like flies, as Chris Anker Sørensen takes the last lead at an insane pace, and as his energy is out, the Schleck's launch.
At Col d'Agnes the Schleck's challenge Contador for his jersey.
Only 1 other rider tries to follow the Schleck's at first, and that is Denis Menchov, who is trying to make up some of all the time he lost yesterday, from his crash up.
But he is only able to hold on for about 1 kilometre, and that's when other favorites attack, Wiggins, Vandevelde, Sastre, Contador, Gomes Marchante, Karpets, Astarloza, Kirchen, Chavanel, Gesink, Nibali and L.L. Sanchez.
All oft hese riders unfortunately are able to catch up with the Schleck's just before the top, here the group also encounters Hesjedal who had attacked on the 2nd mountain.
After 5 kilometres of downhilling, Nibali crashes, and that is a very bad time!
Pellizotti who is then still in the peloton, helps Nibali back up to the peloton as they passed him aswell, but he is never able to get back to the front group, and vital time is lost.
L.L Sanchez and Chavanel tries to get away 15 kilometres from the line, but their attack fails and it will be a mass sprint from the group, Andy resolutely takes Kirchen's wheel for the sprint, as we know he is fast in a finish, Kirchen, Sastre and Schleck are by far the ones with the most energy as they pull away towards the sprint, though not enough for a time gap.
Andy beautifully executes the sprint from the wheel of Kirchen who is obviously tired, and both he and Carlos Sastre passes Kirchen, but it's Andy who takes the glory!
Andy Schleck outsprints Kirchen and Sastre for the win
Meanwhile, another group with Cancellara, has catched up to the front group, and so 56 riders get the same time for the stage, though Nibali is nowhere to be seen! among the 56! Cancellara also nicely hold on to 2nd in the GC!
He comes in almost 2 minutes later on the wheel of Pellizotti!
All in all a good day for Saxo Bank, even though we had hoped to drop Contador and others for good on Col d'Agnes, but we still have more possibilities for the next stage.
Andy was also very positive after the stage at the team bus: "I believe me and my brother are as strong, if not stronger than Contador, and I hope this will show, if not tomorrow, then in the alps!"
Also worth mentioning is that today, sprinters like Boonen, Furlan, Van Hummel and K. Fernandez did not make it for the time limit, along with 17 (!) others, which could be a result of Saxo Bank's aggresiveness on Col d'Agnes!
After todays performance Andy managed to get enough points, to wear the Polka-Dot mountain jersey, congratulations to him, this was not even a goal to start with, and we still won't obsess about it, but it would still be nice to get to Paris in it.

Stage 9 - Saint-Gaudens - Tarbes
After todays vicotry, we will head out to another very similar stage, where we will cross two famous mountains, the Col d'Aspin and the Col du Tourmalet.
Once again we have a flat finish, actually the last 45 kilometres are flat after the descent from Tourmalet, so not an ideal stage for the guys aiming for the GC.
Favorites would be L.L Sanchez, Kirchen etc.
Only 157 riders are back in the peloton for today.
Today we do not have any specific tactic other than holding the other favorites in check.
There is no real action untill Col d' Aspin apart from a couple of riders trying to get away, but they are unsuccesfull, at the bottom of Col d'Aspin, 2 riders, Moncoutie and Rolland attack.
Moncoutie and Rolland tries at Col d' Aspin
They get over the top in the lead.
At the bottom of Col du'Tourmalet, like yesterday, Menchov attacks, soon he gets to Rolland and Moncoutie and he even passes them.
Menchov, who is no longer a contender for the GC after his crash on the Arcalis stage, attacks for the second day in a row
At the Tourmalet, we start pulling at a brisk pace to avoid further attacks from any favorites, and soon a couple of escapees from earlier are reeled in.
Voigt and C.A. Sørensen pulling at the Tourmalet
As we reach the top 51 riders are left in the peloton.
The downhill goes smooth, but at the bottom, Menchov still has 3 minutes on the peloton.
Right after the bottom is reached, Evans launches a surprise attack, and riders like only 9 riders are able to follow; Schleck's, Gesink, Contador, Ten Dam, Moreau, Chavanel, L.L. Sanchez and Vandenbroeck.
These 10 soon catch Menchov, and it is soon clear that the stage winner will be found among these 10.
Frank and Andy still have quite alot of energy for the sprint and amazingly they come in 1 and 2, despite being far from the fastest of these 10!
Frank wins it while Andy, Chavanel and Evans follow very very close for the next spots.
Another fantastic victory for Saxo Bank, 4 stage wins already, we could not have asked for more, it's almost ridiculous!
Aswell as the stage win, we also took important time on guys like, Nibali, Wiggins, Klöden, Leipheimer and Armstrong!
Today we also had big news that a whole 23 riders did not manage to get in for the time limit, among them, Cavendish. This means that alot of sprinters are now out, we now said goodbye to riders like Cav, Boonen, Farrar, Hutarovich, Bandiera.
For the next of the race Skil-Shimano even has only 4 riders left, while Columbia has 5! This also means that Hushovd is now quite comfortabely in green.
The next 2 days will be relaxing and flat, good for some restitution for all our riders who worked hard the last days.

Stage 10 - Limoges - Issoudun
Today we have a pretty much flat stage to ride.
Ideal for the sprinters that are still in the race, but after hard days in the mountains, and a couple of short climbs along the route, a breakaway could very well get away.
A breakaway even seems more realistic as today is the Bastille day, so definitely some french riders will try today.
Today, we will try to relax as much as possible, doing as little work as possible.
It's not our job to do so either, as Astana is in yellow and this is a flat stage for the sprinter teams.
Hushovd, Freire, Bennati would be favorites for a bunch sprint.
The first 30 kilometres are filled with attacks from everywhere, and only after 50 kilometres a breakaway is finally established.
15 riders have got away, of whom 5 are french. At the front we have 13 riders: Joly, Veikkanen, Augé, Millar, Hivert, Fedrigo, Roche, Ivanov, Barredo, Uran, Vansummeren, Monfort and Gerdemann.
A minute behind them is: Bouet and Loosli.
The 13 riders at the front
Today, new teams are taking action as other teams have lost their sprinters, today we see, Rabobank and liquigas, taking alot of relays, for their sprinters, Bennatti and Freire.
New teams take part in the relaying
Even though also Cervelo starts relaying 50 kilometres out, the breakaway still holds 4 minutes at 40 kilometres, and 2.20 at 20 kilometres from the finish, this could hold!
At 10 kilometres from the finish as the peloton is getting closer, Fedrigo attacks and goes solo, this could be a french victory!
Fedrigo has 30 seconds as he gets in on the last 2 kilometres, and he holds his lead!!
He wins after a fantastic solo performance, the peloton almost manages to catch the other 12 but they also take the nex spots.
Veikkanen beats Uran in the sprint for second.
The peloton is so close to the breakaway in goal, that everyone is assigned the same time at the finish.
Meanwhile, freire won the first duel with Hushovd, as he outsprinted him in the pelotons sprint, Barredo was the only of the 13 at the front, who was caught and was edged out by Hushovd and Freire.
Fedrigo wins on bastille day

Stage 11 - Vatan - Saint-Fargeau
11th stage looks like it's one for the sprinters, or what's left of them..
Today, for the first time we have plans to participate in a breakaway, with either Nicki Sørensen or Jens Voigt.
As the stage has it's official start, about 10 riders attack, and quickly we send Sørensen, but for some reason Astana does not allow this breakaway and they get reeled in after about 7 kilometres.
Just as they are reeled in another group attacks, this time 9 riders.
Pasamontes, Coppel, Barredo, Uran, Gerdemann, Monfort, Vansummeren, Maaskant and Augé - they get a gap and today's breakaway is formed, once again with no Saxo Bank riders, disappointing, but we have another chance tomorrow.
Once again the teams doing the work in the peloton as we are about 70 kilometres out is Liquigas, Cervelo and Rabobank.
Another very boring stage up untill the finish (only action was C.A. Sørensen puncturing about 60 kilometres out, not able to come back) .. 10 kilometres from the finish the break now only has 50 seconds on the peloton, and soon, they are caught and we will see a mass sprint.
Today's sprint is tricky as it's uphill, which probably gives an advantage to guys like Kirchen, Pozzato etc.
Pozzato shows strongest in the sprint, holding off Freire and Dumoulin for the win!
A nice first win for Katusha in this years tour!
Pozzato wins
