Huge race from Moscon there got to say thats more then I was expecting but absolutely no surprise with the winner in Masnada there that course really suits him. Overall no complaints in a really big first day for the team having over 120pts already is huge
I have a feeling Ethiopian may be dissapointed they didn't send Meintjes here as he probably would have won. |

I expected top20 from Helme, but solid effort in the end. Definitely this year is going to be a learning process for me and preparation for the following season. |

Go Go Fausto!
Very pleased to start the season with a win.
Thanks for the report kb.
If anyone is interested the closest match to the results from my analysis is as per the table below but there are some outliers like Hoelgaard & Lafay. They might be explained by having a team leader to support.

11 different teams for the first 11 spots, which feels a lot more open than previous years where some teams would be able to find more than a couple in the top 15 in hilly classics.
Looking at 24 here, I guess it was the same.
Either way a great start for a number of teams and those expected at the top of the division already showing why.

Fausto <3
Really sad that he's already 32, I'd definitely not have let go of him last year if he was a bit younger... Great to see him take a first important win for Kraftwerk's comeback campaign

I'm actually way more disappointed we got outbid on Meintjes and don't have the opportunity to send him anywhere
That said I'm incredibly pleased to see Sagan come so close to winning, 2nd place is a great result in a race that shouldn't really suit him very well. Particularly happy to see that the triple stack of Sagan-Gladysh-Vendrame seems to be able to function well, although it remains to be seen how that will play out in more sprint friendlier races. All in all a really encouraging start to the season, lots of reasons for other managers to be optimistic as well after today, I think we'll have a good CT season on our hands.

Happy with a top 20 and avoiding opening with the dreaded 0 pointer

When Hoelgaard blows it all, it's good to see Dyrnes stepping up to take a top 10 and at least some points from this race.
Bonus that Kaczmarek grabs a few points as well
Thank you kandesbunzler for an excellent report! |

Sad to see we couldn't come close to the results we got last year. At least we got some good publicity in the breakaway! Masnada and their team rode really well and got a really deserved win, congrats!!
Thanks for the reporting, I hope we can show something better in later races! ^^ |
