So I guess no Polish TT duo for you, then...

Whitejersey - He already gets pineapple on his pizza
Ivan - Yeah but I don't want to see him go for free either
Knockout - For some reason, there were never any real offers
Booker - Looking forward!
Fabi - Gamper is hard to replace with some things set. Suter is just one of those awesome low wage riders, but I guess I could listen to an offer
Heine - Won Paris - Tours two years in a row! But no!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I won't mind if you keep Oomen in PT. And then there's the ongoing will-they-won't-they (part ways) story with Bonifazio which will be interesting to follow in transfers, at least when not involved

We all know that Bonifazio isn't going anywhere, and now that he's in the PT he will find a way to break the game and perform wonders
A lot of "yes" and "maybe" signs however. Quite surprised to see Oomen on that list!
Also a few names that would be interesting for a team like ours I see.

Bonifazio to stay with the team until age 37 confirmed. The team already looks like it is competitive at the new level (especially Oomen) and there is still several hundred euros worth of cap space. Scary.

Looking forward to seeing how you get on after finally making it to PT! A shame that the most interesting names have a no next to their names, hopefully this time around Bonifazio will take the hint and leave |

Think I know a few people in relationships like yours with Bonifazio. Looking forward to see him in black and yellow in Qatar
24/02/21 - kandesbunzler said “I don't drink famous people."
15/08/22 - SotD said "Your [jandal's] humour is overrated"
11/06/24 - knockout said "Winning is fine I guess. Truth be told this felt completely unimportant."

Transfer recap
We will start off with a Rolling Stones quote: "You can't always get what you want". We will also add a Breaking Bad quote: "Why don't you just die already? Just give up and die?". So yes, transfer season really didn't go as planned.
We we're hoping the wage cap increase could be used for a rider like Gaviria or Oomen back in the day, but we just missed out on the Superstar. We have two great signings though with Alec Segaert and Darren Rafferty, both who will e loaned out to get some lower level experience in their first season.
For the outgoing part, we managed to offload only Henri Vandenabeele. Not really the sale we wanted, but difficult circumstances (manager partying in Spain) really hurt us during the transfer season. So, let's look at the roster:
| Name | Age | Role | Gabriele Benedetti | 25 | Domestique | Jenthe Biermans | 30 | Baroudeur | Niccolo Bonifazio | 32 | Sprinter | Walter Calzoni | 24 | Climber | Alessandro Covi | 27 | Puncheur | Laurens De Plus | 30 | Puncheur | Alessandro Fedeli | 29 | Puncheur | Patrick Gamper | 28 | Cobbler | Jakub Mareczko | 31 | Sprinter | Sam Oomen | 30 | Stage Racer | Andrea Piccolo | 24 | Puncheur | Viktor Potocki | 26 | Time Trials | Darren Rafferty | 22 | Loaned Out | Szymon Sajnok | 28 | Time Trials | Alec Segaert | 22 | Loaned Out | Dilmurdjon Siddikov | 28 | Time Trials | Joel Suter | 27 | Baroudeur | Fabio Van Den Bossche | 25 | Cobbler | Maxim Van Gils | 26 | Climber | Aaron Van Poucke | 27 | Climber | Aaron Verwilst | 28 | Domestique | Sasha Weemaes | 27 | Domestique |
Is the team good enough to stay up? Probably not, but we had two fine additions that will be very competitive in the PCT for the next years.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Gonna be honest, and I mean no offense by this. There was not a single second where I actually believed there was a realistic chance Bonifazio would leave the team.

It may not have been the sale you wanted, but Vandenabeele is the hero we need at Simba.

Sagaert and Rafferty are great future proofings, but as you say it's going to be a tough battle to stay up!

I hope I can make a longer post at some point, but for now let it be known we're hoping to swap Laurens De Plus and either Sajnok or Siddikov for a talented low wage rider.
