Kind of ironic that the replay to get rid of crashes ends up with a potential winner losing out from a puncture. Commiserations to knockout.
I'll remember the points lost if we end up relegating by a narrow margin, but I can live with the drop from 1st to 2nd, along with Meiler's 20th. Gerts is a deserving winner and the guy I pegged to be the favorite here, so can't complaint about losing out to him.
Thanks for the report!
RIP Exxon Duke, David Veilleux, Double Feature, and Monster Energy
Was hoping for a bit better than 11th from Benoot, and it also sucked that he was the only one of the lead group that couldn't hang on. We did get good depth points from Cataford and Mick, so can't complain too much.
Not sure what to say about this that wasnt indicated in the reports or by you all already. This feels unnecessary cruel. Cant remember when a puncture has impacted a MG race as much as this. Guess this really isnt our season.
Can't say I can fully celebrate this given how it wasn't Gerts who came out on top in the first run, but at least the first winner only lost one place in the rerun. Commiserations to all those who were hurt by the rerun.
That being said, it's nice to see Gerts putting his hill skills to good use. I feel like he does not do that often enough.
The rerun clearly played in our favour, though on a low level. Daniel not making it over the hills either time clearly wasn't good, at least Dunne kept our flag up from the break. Thanks to jt anyway and congrats to alex!
