We had nothing to look for in ths stage so not putting anyone in the break is a bummer

The team getting involved in the chase and then Cosnefroy avoiding losing time is all I could ask for there! Great ride from Cos to stick with the Puncheurs. He's going to need to be attentive with that leaders jersey on his shoulders.

Looks like another one of those weird races where Enger might be our GC rider.

One of our better chances at a stage win and we ruined it

Somehow this is getting worse with every single stage.

When everything else goes wrong, we always have Sureda punching above his weight at least.

Very good flat stage for us, with both Wiswniowski and Anderberg in the first group. Now, though, please cobbles, be kind to us! This upcoming stage is absolutely key for us, and we need to play it perfect, as the cobbles stage looks to be our chance at GC glory too. |

What a dud of a race so far, I can't really get excited for anyone let alone my own team.

Any hopes to get a decent result myself is gone now with Polanc only climbing to 43rd. Which means my focus on this race is to hope for damage control, meaning the rivals in the fight for the pt podium cannot score too heavily

Well the flip side of it not being great for others is that Ovsya over-delivered in the sprint to get 2nd and we've somehow kept the leaders jersey through the cobbles! More challenges ahead for Cosnefroy but hopefully he can hold on

Ouch, that was a massive disappointment, I must say. Talk about wasting the cobbles stage Looks like stage 6 will be all about clinging on to a GC top 10 for Wisniowski, while Anderberg feels very likely to drop significantly.
I know I can’t be too surprised, as the cobbles in stage races often play out in a similar way, but that was still our great shot at the PT title, and it feels bad to kind of just let it pass as a wasted opportunity Really, really hope Wisniowski and Anderberg have great days on the final hilly day. We need that if we’re going to get anything near the points I hoped for pre-race. If we can’t, I’m not sure we’ll be title favourites anymore! |

Happy we're able to do something in this race as a Wild Card, just wish some points came with that

This is an unserious race. Happy to have Resell and Cannister got top 10's at least for our role. Congrats to UBS on a fun day, but I know the sting of getting this kind of performance in a wildcard race.

Another nice sprint by Enger. I would've prefered to see my team in some breakaways during this race, but whatever.

It all comes down to another hilly stage and damage limitation, then. Would have been some luck if Wisniowski turned out on the right side of the split, then we would suddenly have been in a great position. Though, those random splits are annoying, so in the end it’s good that all GC riders except Vansevenant got the same time.
We must look to defend a top 10 GC with Wisniowski, and then hope for dear life that Anderberg can cling on to some kind of GC result. It’s more than two minutes down to 19th in GC, which makes it a natural goal to stay inside the top 20, I feel.
Congratulations on the double, Roman! |

I'm in the weird position that my own team can not really move up significantly in the GC outside of freak occurances via breaks etc despite bigger prepace hopes through Polanc. So I'm stuck watching to see what Wisniowski, Anderberg and Valter can do. If things stay as they are, its almost game over for us.

Good race by van Baarle today. I hope this time he can get it through the last hilly stage unlike last year. Also nice to see a strong team performance on the cobbled stage. Unfortunately it was not very selective. Thanks for the reports so far! |

Another stage where Kalaba could have done well but didn't
