That’s an absolute shocker from my team given the support Mas has. He should have been up the front so great to see him well positioned to even be on the wrong side of a split……
One advantage of not having a deep team is you can't get confused about who the leader is.
I was hoping for a boring stage with a 50 rider sprint at the end but we didn't get that and it was great stuff from Kuss, he was always in position and looks like having our only hill domestique, Siegle, there meant he had some support pretty late.
So definitely a shot to move up tomorrow and really no excuse for not achieving our top ten goal tomorrow. McNulty should get 2nd in the young rider as well unless he needs to do a bunch of work for Kuss.
Congrats to Trans, love Calmejane, a very deserved victor.
Meh. 4th not a bad result from Mas but not good enough in our Title fight when HelloFresh is 2nd. He really should have done better on Stage 3 and was left isolated early on the final stage with no support.
Not happy with how my team is riding at all in the Mountains tbh. Borisavljevic 20th in the GC when HelloFresh has 8th, 11th, 12th as their depth riders is hard for me to understand. I don't know why we're doing the chasing when Mas clearly isn't in the top daily form.

Well wow. Felt pretty confident about a good result but didn't think the GC was realistic so to get a stage win and the GC is awesome. Both firsts for Kuss with McCormick, also our first GC win in a non-flat race.
He had me worried when he kept being in the back third of the group but I guess he was conserving energy. Kuss has had a few days performing at the bottom of expectations, this was vey much at the top.

Fantastic race for us, would have been awesome to see Elissonde take the GC as well but with a green jersey, 2nd GC, good depth scoring, Teams GC and some VERY good stage results this race has been an amazing one for us. Thanks for the reports and congrats to Ulrich, can't be mad at seeing Kuss take the GC!
