No. It can't be true. It's a lie. A hoax created by China. This guy has not done something.
Well, Congrats I guess

Not the best prologue but decent stage 2. No sprinter here but later cobbles helper signing Robeet with a nice KoM attempt. Small points but beaten by former rider Villella is nothing bad. |

Congrats to Moser, nice win from Bertilsson. Awesome ride from Suryadi, one of the better sprinters in the race so it’s nice to see him be competitive.
Thanks for the report

Great lead out for Itami and nice to see him collect 2nd on Stage 2. Only a 16 loss on the Prologue for Carapaz so happy with this as well. Still not mentioned in the favourites, but I will accept that!

When I noticed the final kms were downhill I realized getting a lead-out and sprinting early might not have been the worst idea. Good work by Quispe to bring Maksimov to the front, and decent positioning from Maksimov that might have led to more on a flat stage. Nevertheless, I can be happy with our first PTHC podium ever
Congratulations to Moser and also Eurosport x GCN, and thank you for the great report, red. Really took your time to explain what was happening with the early break etc., a pleasant read

Fantastic work by Davide, that is exactly the role we brought him for. Replacing Gabburo in these types of hunts for KOMs. And damn Villella did well in following up his compatriot.

Schomber's reign continues - will be surprised if it does so tomorrow, which will be an interesting day. Would love to see Meurisse try something for the stage if Schomber is dropped early but not sure the AI will give him that free license.

85th from Perera, not quite what I was hoping for looks like we got the short end of the stick in the who cares to sprint lottery. Unfortunate, but as long as it's not a precursor to the rest of Perera's season, I'll live with it. Hopefully, we'll at least be active in breakaways from here on out.

What an exciting stage! I was really caught in the action. It feels good, though, to watch it from a distance and without personal involvement.
I am glad to see Ulloa managing to grab the 19th position,. Really unfortunate for Carapaz to lose so much time.
Thank you for the report and congratulations, liefwarrior, for the Tim Wellens stage win! |

So am I, great ride from our youngster No points scored, but always very happy to see him attack. Nice try by Quispe as well, but someone really needs to tell him this is not a stage for him to attack Munoz with the classic 'I don't care', finishing in the same time as Maksimov. I just hope he doesn't race like this next year with 79/73 mtn/hill.
Big win for Tryg, congratulations lief! A few more of these and you'll win the title as Ollfahrd predicted
Thanks for the exciting report, red.

Climbers getting one over the puncheurs here, hopefully the other hill stages are the opposite PCM20 definitely seems to be a game that loves hybrid climber types so far, with the OVL change and hybrids requesting higher wages, it might pay off to have a couple around.
Jensen adding our 4th 9th place of the year to the tally. 5th GC is a good spot to be where he will hopefully be treated well by the AI. Phodignam with a good ride too in support as well.
Thanks for the report!

Not Good enough. Tactical blunder by Lutsenko working too much.

Really hurts that the gap wasnt given. In especially to Gidich TT wise.
Olivier usually able to fight for the stage in such sprints, his attack from 11km on likely had exhausted him too much but good he was around.
Not good that all depth points by potential top25 riders Zardini/Schlegel kind of were refined already as they must have just slowed down in a much slower group. |

Just caught up on the race start, congrats in particular to Xero and Tryg for their stage wins so far!
I was actually very willing to give Schomber a shot myself, but he's already proven jandal rightfully wanted to hold on to him at all costs.
Stage 3 had brilliant racing, and hopefully the even harder stages later on will provide even more entertainment.
Losing the puncheurs from that front group would've been overkill though, despite the clear gap.

Okay, thats a fantastic stage for us. Doesnt bode well for breakaway opportunities, but if we can keep top 20 places thatd be fantastix

A lot of gaps considering I didnt think this would have been too much of a hard stage really. I'm extremely happy that Carthy was very strong and made the first group and even got some bonus seconds by finishing 3rd to make up for an underwhelming prologue. A better result than expected may still be possible here but we can't afford to lose time.
Hayter will also be fun to watch getting in the breaks later on I suppose but I imagine one on one he wont be as strong as Hirschi.

Well that was awful by the peloton (including Los Pollos). Luckily Binance was strong enough to catch most of the break. Maksimov just outside the podium. Too bad, because a top-3 was the goal. Still some points scored ofc, which we´ll gladly take.
Now onto the second part of the Volta a Portugal, where we have no expectations whatsoever, so time to lean back and enjoy the show.
Congratulations jph and thanks for the fine report, red!
